You made me want to spread my wings and fly, higher than I have ever before. Never did I realize that, all you wanted was to pick my feathers for the soft white was what you had always dreamt of. The cloudy heaven that bloomed from my shoulders was the divine wish you had longed for years; blind in love, I let you take it. I let you take my beauty, my strength, my gift, my all. Naïve I was, after all I thought I was going to receive the love I gave.
But when my wings grew for the second time, I saw the vile behind that blissful smile of yours; it felt like the veil of love was finally being lifted, revealing the man you truly were. Corrupt with greed and ego, you were the very image of what repelled me; we were opposite forces that should have never attracted, for our love was forbidden by nature.
But that's the beauty of our story, of how an angel fell in love with the devil himself.
