Travis and Felicity's Apartment

As we get home I angrily grab everything out of the boot and storm my way upstairs to our apartment. Travis doesn't say a thing. I start to unpack everything on the dining room table so that I can sort it all out when I hear Travis speak.

"Listen, I know you don't want to talk to me right now and I get it I do, I am honestly so sorry. It's not that I didn't believe you it's just that I didn't know what was going on or how to handle the situation. I am so so sorry Fifi, really I am. Please forgive me." Travis says with hope in his eyes.

"Travis, you are always supposed to back me up and be there for me. I felt so alone when you weren't on my side." I say sadly.

"I know and I promise you I am so sorry." He says genuinely.

"Fine, I guess. Tonight you can cook dinner." I say as I take a seat at the dining room table.

I can't believe he didn't stand up for me...

"What would you like for dinner love?" Travis asks me smiling as he takes a seat next to me in the dining room.
"Anything." I say meekly.
"Your favorite?" Travis says hopefully.
"I guess." I simply reply.
"Okay.." Travis says as he sadly gets up and walks away.

Travis has avoided me most of the day, he's been in his office while I've been in the dining room sorting out the decorations. I decided the invitations would look so beautiful with small ribbon roses and small ribbon bows, so I spent the rest of my afternoon making all of the invitations. Once in a while I would see Travis make his way to kitchen or hear him go to the bathroom. After making the invitations I look at the clock in the dining room and I notice it's already 18:00pm and Travis hasn't even started dinner yet.
I got up and went into the lounge to watch tv while I waited for Travis to eventually make dinner.

After an hour of waiting I hear rattling and things being moved around in the kitchen as Travis finally makes dinner for us. The smell of lasagne begins to fill my nose as I binge watch vampire diaries.

"Felicity?" Travis says quietly as he makes his way to where I'm laying on the couch.
"Mmm?" I say sounding uninterested.
"Do you want me to make you some hot chocolate?" Travis asks genuinely.
"Yes please." I reply.

Moments later I can hear the scraping sound of a spoon against glass and Travis walks into the lounge with a bowl of lasagne that is steaming so it must have just come out of the oven and a cup of hot chocolate.

"Here baby." Travis says as he hands me the lasagne and places the hot chocolate on the glass coffee table.
"Thank you." I say as I force a smile.

Things feel tense and awkward now. I can't help it. I just can't get over how he didn't even try to stand up for me. Travis walks back towards the kitchen to grab his food and makes his way over to the couch where I am laying to sit next to me.

"Please can we talk?" Travis asks me sternly.
"Mmm." I mumble with my mouth full of food.
"I am sorry." He states.
"I bet you are." I say sarcastically which I can see has just made him angry but he quickly changes his reaction.
"I really am. I don't want you to think that we are going to go into this marriage and I'm not going to stand up for you. I will. I just made a mistake. One that I will never make again, I promise you that Fifi. Please give me a chance to show you I love you." He says as he takes a bite of his food and fixates his eyes on mine.
"You really hurt me Travis." I say as I play with my food.
"I'm so sorry." Travis says as he gets up and places his food on the coffee table. He hesitates for a moment before he grabs his car keys and makes his way to the front door.
"Where are you going?" I ask confused.
"I'm so so sorry Felicity. I never meant to hurt you." Travis says as he walks out and I hear the car start and him drive away.

What the fuck just happened. I continue to eat my food and watch tv. When I'm finished eating I walk towards the kitchen and I expect to see it a mess but I am pleasantly shocked to see that Travis packed the dishwasher and tidied up. It's been about an hour since Travis has left and I'm to tired to sit and wait for him so I make my way to the bathroom to take a bath. After running the bath and putting lavender essential oil in I climb inside to relax.

After my bath I get changed into my pajamas and still no sign of Travis. I figure he's just not coming home tonight. I lock up the apartment and start making my way to the bedroom when I see the basement door. "I wonder if it is unlocked?" I mutter to myself. I slowly start walking towards the door and as I twist the door knob to my surprise the door opens. I stand there for a while just taking in the fact that it's not locked. I'm about to walk downstairs when I hear the front door unlocking. I hurriedly close the basement door trying not to make a noise and I run to the bedroom.

I can hear it's Travis. He locks the door behind him and makes his way to the bedroom. As he walks in the room I can see he's been drinking. His eyes are sunken in and he can barely walk straight.

"Wow? So this is your solution to fix things? You leave while we are talking and you go get drunk?" I say irritated.
"That wasn't my plan." Travis slurs.
"What was your plan Travis?" I say angrily.
"I-I went out to-to get you fl-flow-flowers. " Travis stutters.
"Where from a bar?" I say with irritation as I walk away from Travis and make my way to my side of the bed.
"I did g-get the flowers, they a-a-are in the kitchen." Travis stutters more.
"Okay. Goodnight Travis." I say upset as I climb into my side of the bed and switch my lamp off.

"What? That's it? You are not even going to talk to me further?" Travis says as he begins to raise his voice at me.

"Goodnight Travis." I say with a sad yet angry tone.

My eyes start to fill with tears as I let myself fall into a deep sleep.
