The rain hits against the small, tattered up window.
"Mani! Whatcha doing?" Dinah asked her best friend, for years.
"Nothing really. Just drawing a picture." The small girl said, making Dinah smile.
"You're gonna be famous! You will be the bestest art person in the world! A-And I'm gonna be the bestest dancer in the world!" Dinah cheered, only being 6 and a half years old.
"Yeah, DJ!" Normani, 7 years old, replied, feeling somewhat excited also. The small girl always dreamed about the time when she could be what she always wanted to be, which is what Dinah called it, an art person. There wasn't an actual name for people like that yet.
"Yeah! Just when we get out of here!" Dinah said in a dreamy voice, while Normani frowned, ever so lightly.
"But, we've been here for years! Do you think we'll actually get out of here?" Normani asked her, as Dinah nodded.
"Yes! Always believe!" Dinah told her bestfriend for the millionth time.
"Okay, I'll believe Dinahsoar." Normani said, making Dinah blush.
"Wanna see my picture?" Normani asked her, and Dinah nodded her head quickly!
"YES!" The small girl shouted, before covering her mouth, making Normani giggle.
The chocolate skinned girl pushed the image towards her bestfriend, and she watched as Dinah's facial expression showed that she was astonished.

"Mani, thats so cool! Its so great and amazing and so awesome!" Dinah said, praising her best friend.
"Thank you, DJ." Normani said thankfully, and both her and Dinah yawned at the same time, signaling that it was time for both of the young girls to go to bed.
The two snuggled up against each other, and both dreamt of when they got adopted, and how happy their lives would be.
