Exam time approached the school faster than everyone wanted. Well, almost everyone. The night that Dumbledore announced that the exam timetables would be handed out the next morning, Hermione nearly launched out of her seat with excitement. Which leads up to the girl dragging Harry and Draco into the library for a little studying.
Several hours later, Harry was asleep with his head propped up on one of his arms as Hermione continued to scribble furiously on the piece of parchment in front of her and Draco read from one of the many books piled up on the table. The blonde looked up from his book and saw the sleeping boy and decided that they should call it a night. Voicing his thoughts to the Gryffindor, she promptly agreed after she saw Harry and began to tidy away her parchment and quills while Draco gathered all the books to put them back. Finally, Draco woke the dark-haired boy gently and the two made their way back to the Slytherin Common Room.
Draco watched as Harry got himself ready for bed. He was worried about how quickly the boy was getting tired as of late. The first thing he did once classes were over was come lay down in the bed and take a nap. Not wanting to worry the boy about it and cause him further anxiety, the blonde just brushed it off as the stress of exams coming up and the fact that Harry was still recovering from the potions incident during Christmas. Moments later, Harry crawled into the bed they shared and curled up against Draco with a contented sigh which caused the blonde to smile down at him and wrap one of his arms around the smaller boy as they drifted off to sleep. Everything would be okay as long as he had Harry by his side.

Draco raised his arms over his head with a satisfying pop of his spine as he exited the Great Hall after his last exam of the year, Transfiguration. He was free for the summer and was overjoyed by the prospect of two months of no school work. Unfortunately, that also meant two months without Harry, which was a much less pleasing thought. For now, though, the two walked, side by side, towards the Common Room in hopes of some much needed R&R before dinner. They had almost reached the wall disguising the Common Room when Harry suddenly collapsed and hit the ground with a loud thud that made Draco wince. Panicking and not sure whether staying with Harry or getting help was the better option, he was beyond relieved when he saw Professor Snape come around the corner.
"Professor! Professor! Harry has just collapsed. I don't know what happened. He was fine and then he just dropped." The Potions Professor quickly approached the pair and he took a look over the unconscious boy on the ground, mumbled a few things to himself and then waved his wand. Harry slowly rose to Snape's waist and then weightlessly floated alongside Snape as he hastily made his way towards the Hospital Wing. Draco scrambled to keep up, but wisely kept quiet even though he desperately wanted to know what was wrong with Harry.
Once in the Hospital Wing, Harry was placed in one of the available beds before Snape walked off. Probably, and Draco hoped, to find Madame Pomfrey and inform her of the situation. Draco's prediction proved correct when the worried Mediwitch bustled over a few minutes later with Snape closely following after. Madame /Pomfrey quickly cast a diagnostic charm and waited for the parchment to appear from the tip of her wand. She quickly read the parchment and then went very pale. She turned and showed the parchment to Snape who cast an eye over it before his eyes flicked over to the boy laying on the bed before him and then the Madame Pomfrey. Then they moved away from Draco and began to speak quickly and quietly to each other. Out of nowhere blinding fury consumed Draco. He couldn't remember ever being this angry before in his life and could not understand where the tidal wave of pure rage came from but it made him see red.
"IS SOMEONE GOING TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HARRY AND HOW TO FIX IT, OR ARE YOU JUST GOING TO STAND THERE WHISPERING AND LET MY MATE DIE?!?!" If Draco hadn't been so angry, he would have been shocked at where the hell that had come from and why he had referred to Harry as his mate. Since when had Harry become Draco's in that way? However, all he could do was stand at the end of the bed and breathe heavily as he tried not to launch himself at the two adults who held all the information he wanted- no needed. He needed with every fibre of his being to know that Harry was going to be okay, that there was something that could save him and make him better. Needed it like he needed air to breathe.
