Draco quickly dismounted his broom and rushed towards the innocent looking suburban house. Surprisingly, the front door opened when he tried it, so he entered the house and quietly shut the door behind him. The house was silent as the blonde searched each of the rooms for Harry. Whoever had decorated this place had a horrible sense of fashion. Everything was cream or pink and covered in large gaudy floral patterns. He repressed a shudder as he moved to the stairs to check upstairs for Harry, or anyone really.
"Where the bloody hell is everyone?" The blonde muttered to himself as he began to climb the stairs. At the top of the stairs there was a large and gaudy Muggle photograph of three people, who Draco assumed were Harry's Muggle relatives. Draco didn't stay to examine it further because finding Harry was more important.
After searching the rooms on the upper floor and coming up empty handed, he approached the last door. It was at the end of the corridor and had several locks attached to the outer side of the door as well as a strange rectangle cut out of the bottom and replaced with a sort of flap. Cursing his inability to do magic outside of school, Draco manually unlatched the bolts across the door and after several minutes managed to pick the lock on the padlock securing the final deadbolt. With a deep breath, Draco shoved the door open and the sight that met him caused the blood to drain from his face so quickly he became light headed.
Harry lay in the middle of the room that was slightly larger than a Hogwarts broom cupboard. The boy was unconscious and worryingly pale with a small pool of blood around his midsection. Draco jolted out of his frozen state and scrambled over to the boy.
"Harry. Harry, can you hear me?" Draco didn't know what to do. If he shook the raven-haired boy or tried to move him over, it could cause him to bleed out faster. He also wasn't able to use magic to find out how hurt Harry was. Cursing the rising feeling of hopelessness, his mind whirled for possible solutions to his predicament. Then it came to him. Severus. Resisting the urge to smack himself for not thinking of this sooner, he quickly made his way to Harry's trunk and retrieved the small bag of Floo powder before quickly descending the stairs and entering the gaudy pink living room once more.
"Thank Merlin" he muttered when he saw the Dursley's actually had a real fire. He remembered Harry mentioning about an electric one they had at one point before it was damaged. Without wasting anymore precious time, Draco threw a fistful of dark green powder into the fireplace, which promptly lit the fireplace with emerald flame, and shouted his godfathers name and address. He then stuck his head into the fireplace and waited for Severus to appear. Seconds felt like years as he waited, begging for his godfather to appear faster. Finally, the familiar black robes swished into view followed by the face of Severus Snape.
"Uncle Severus, I need your help. It is urgent." Draco quickly said before the other man had a chance to open his mouth. This was no time to dilly dally with his godfather's cryptic speech. The man merely raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
"Is that so? Well, what is this emergency then?" Severus replied with a humour filled lilt in his voice. He probably thought that Draco was having difficulty with a potion or getting his parents to agree to something. For Salthazar's sake! Harry didn't have time for this. He was dying on the floor!
"Harry is bleeding out upstairs. Please bring your potions kit and come through. I do not know how long he has been in this state." In any other situation, Draco would have revelled in his ability to cause the emotionless Severus Snape to go wide eyed and gasp as he had. However, this was not the time. There was a more pressing matter to deal with and they had very little time left, if any at all.
Draco stood in the doorway of the living room and waited for the Potions Master to come through the fire while tapping his foot against the carpeted floor. Finally, the man came through, so Draco turned on his heel and made his way back to his Harry. He fully expected the man to follow behind him without being prompted and was relieved when his godfather did so without asking any questions.
