"knock knock" you said as you entered the back room

"---------!"
"well I'll be!"

Zack dropped the box he'd been carrying and ran over to you-

Next thing you knew you were being picked up and spun around in circles!

"ZACK! your gonna make the poor girl sick!"

Zack pretended not to hear papa and continued spinning you until he got dizzy too and you both fell into a pile of boxes laughing

Zack put his arms behind his head and reclined into the boxes as if he fell there on purpose

"well, well, well, if it isn't the prodigal daughter returned again" he said shaking his head in a tsk tsk tsk type of way

"Hahaha! It's nice to see you too!" you were about to pull yourself up when you saw a hand extend in front of you..

You looked up to see a familiar pair of greenish blue eyes..they were kind and soft

"cloud!" you cried taking his hand.. he pulled you up and you hugged him tight..

Cloud..

You felt those tears try to creep up again..

You quickly let go and jumped back laughing..

"it's great to see you all!"

"got any hugs left for old papa?" a kind old voice asked

you turned to see clouds grandfather, fondly known as "papa" to his grandkids, and "adopted grandkids" which meant you, yuffie and the others

"I've always got hugs for Papa" you cried throwing your arms around him with a smile

"havnt seen you in 6 months! You forgot about us?" he asked smiling

"I could never forget you guy's!" you cried giving him another hug

"It's just been madness though! We've had no spare time!" you exclaimed "Working full time all summer to save for tuition, school supplies and books! Not to mention a place to stay! And then the classes papa! They go by so quickly there's no time to even ask questions! I barley understand the homework.. It's just been bananas!" you threw your arms up dramatically and Papa laughed and gave you another hug

"well then I guess we can let it slide.. This time! But I expect more regular visits from now on!"

"deal!" you said laughing

"that about does it in here" angeal said unloading the last box from the truck and helping the driver close the back

"oh yeah! Gamgam says dinners ready!" you announced, suddenly remembering why you'd been sent downstairs

"phew! Finally! I worked up quite the appetite" Zack said finally abandoning the bed of boxes and stretching ..

"whadaya say we go eat the fatted calf, eh prodigal?" he said giving you a wink

"you kids head on up, I'll just pay the driver here and I'll be right behind you" papa said smiling

You and Zack exchanged a look, and then cried in unison "ready, set go!" and ran out of the room as fast as possible, leaving papa and angeal laughing and shaking their heads

"ever since they were 6.. Some things never change huh?" papa chuckled
