The Love of My Life

Chapter 1

Author's POV

Jake was the most popular guy in school. He was tall, handsome, dark hair, emerald green eyes and had a muscular body. Not to mention, captain of the football team. Almost ALL the girls in the school were attracted to him, but he already had a girlfriend, Melissa. She was beautiful, she had blonde hair, blue eyes, head of the cheerleading team, as expected. Eventhough she was really popular, she was the sweetheart of the school, but I guess it was just all an act. While Alley was the newbie in Jefferson High. She had her first class in the morning, biology. She woke up late and was rushing to class when she tripped over the staircase as she missed a step. She felt somebody catching her. She opened her eyes and saw the most beautiful set of eyes, it was emerald. They were staring at each others eyes and it seemed forever. Then suddenly, she realized she was late for class. He put her down and she immediately ran away forgetting to say thank you. While she was running, she thought about who he was. Accidentally, without realizing, she barged into the class.

Alley's POV

"I'm so sorry I'm late for class Mr. Henderson." 

"Its alright." said the teacher.

So, I sat down at the back beside this douche who was trying to hit on me. I just ignored him and tried to focus in class. But I just couldn't. That boy who caught me. I didn't even know his name. I didn't even say thank you. For the next hour I couldn't stop thinking about him. His eyes, so green, so dreamy. He had the most handsome face. He was so dreamy. Ohh, so handsome. "WAIT ALLEY!" I shouted in my head. "YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" I taught to myself, Logan and I went our seperate ways but we didn't officially break up. He was going to Middleton High and I was going to Jefferson High. We had to go seperate ways because his family had to move. We still talked on the phone and all but it wasn't the same. Logan had blonde hair and light brown eyes. He was dreamy and all but the boy who catched me, somehow he had a look in his eyes that mesmerized me. I was dreaming about him and I didn't even realize class ended. 

"Ms. Alley, class is over, by the way." said Mr. Henderson.

I rushed out saying thank you to my teacher, I was on my way to my locker when I got a text, trying to look for my phone while holding books was not an easy task to do. Suddenly I felt a bump and my books were on the floor. I looked up and it was him. Again. We stared at each other for what felt like forever. Then, he broke the silence. 

"I'm so sorry!" he said, looking at his phone. "I had a text and.. and I was carrying books." 

"Oh, its alright. It was my fault too. I got a text as well." I said.

"ARG! ITS JUST VOICEMAIL!" both of us said at the same time.

I blushed and he chuckled. It was so embarrasing. I blushed so easily. 

"Hey! You're the one that fell down the stairs! And I caught you...." he said.

"Yeah, thanks by the way." I said, blushing again. 

"You're blush is pretty cute you know." He said.

I blushed even more. I couldn't help it. I was a hopeless romantic. He was so sweet yet he had that bad boy look. 

"Err, thanks?" I said, soflty.

"I'm Jake, by the way."

"I'm Alley, the newbie here." 

"Nice to meet you Alley. Hope you have a good time at Jefferson High."

Suddenly I heard someone shouting, "JAKEEE!" in a really girly voice. He had that embarrassed look on his face yet he tried to smile.

"Yes sweetheart?" Jake replied.

I knew it. He had a girlfriend. I mean, he had to, he had the looks, captain of the football team and he's sweet. He was perfect. She came by my locker and saw Jake talking to me. She gave me that 'you're dead to me' look. Well, I wouldn't blame her. I was talking to her boyfriend. Obviously she was the jealous type. I saw her uniform, she was head of the cheerleading team. I guessed as much. Jake would never fall for someone like me. I was nothing compared to her.

Jake's POV

I was on my way to the cafeteria as i didn't have class and I wanted to grab some food. I was walking towards the stairs while I heard my phone buzzing. It was Melissa. Again. She was in class and she was bored. So I had to entertain her. Urgg. Suddenly I looked up and there was a girl that was falling down. My immediate reaction was to catch her. I looked into her eyes and they were so beautiful. She had blue eyes. Light brown hazel hair. I felt so amazed. I hadn't felt that like that for a while. Well, I had Melissa but she wasn't like that. At least she used to be. Then she became head of the cheerleading team. She got all cocky and really bitchy. I missed the old Melissa. I talked to her about it but she refused to change. She loved her life too much. In class, I couldn't stop thinking about the girl I caught. She was so beautiful. She had that innocent look in her eyes and it was so refreshing. I loved Melissa but I just couldn't put a finger on it.
