"Is this the way you want your life to be?"

The same phrase that Peter heard all the time. Every time he got into trouble. And out of all the people scolding him it was Ms. Andrews.

"Are you listening Peter?"

"Yes ma'am." Peter mumbled

"Then answer my question. Yes or no."

Peter was still wondering how many divorces Ms. Andrews had to make her like this. Her grumpy attitude, scorned expression, and wrinkled face made it super hard to answer or to even look at her. Still, his parents were here so he needed to at least have manners.

"No... Ma'am." Peter said hesitantly.

Ms. Andrews was twiddling the pen in her hand. Peter felt like a bomb was ticking nearby, and he couldn't go anywhere. There was a long silence in the office for a few seconds.

"Ms. Andrews, don't be so harsh." Peter's dad said.

Peter felt a sigh of relief. His parents were actually defending him. Though it usually worked originally, they probably can't save the day this time.

"Ms. Andrews, I know what Peter did. But I don't think he deserves any of this. He..."

"Mr. and Mrs. Darcy, I don't think you know the gravity of this situation well. He harmed three boys, and put one in the hospital! The family of that boy is pressing charges against you!"

Peter's parents stopped from there. There was no arguing at that. Peter may have been bullied frequently, and those boys did bully him a lot, but he never meant to hurt anyone that badly. He didn't want any of that. He would've wanted friends, but no one liked him. Everyone would just either pass him by like he wasn't there, or they would stare at him awkwardly. However, Peter didn't care anymore. He would just leave himself to a pen and a notebook and start drawing. Alone to his imagination. Now he knew what he wanted in his life.

He wanted to be alone.
