Kinda friendly

Shaky, loud, and ragged breaths rattled your form as you hid in the crawlspace under the desk. There were a solid five minutes of silence before the all too familiar pitter-patter of light footsteps reached your ears. You clamped a hand over your mouth in an effort to make your breathing quieter.

It went quiet again

And then you saw a bright blue eye peeking through one of the holes in the crawlspace cover.

"Someone is inside." A sharp, high pitched voice cut through the silence, sending a chill up your spine.

You screamed.

Whatever was on the other side of the crawlspace started to try and pry it open. You tried to keep it closed, but it was stronger than you were, and the cover was slowly but surely opening.

Two sets of heavy metallic footsteps entered the room. "Babs! Don't do that, you're scaring them!"

The force being applied to the crawlspace cover ceased. "Sorry Circus." The high pitched voices murmured. "It's fine, you guys need to stop approaching people like that though."

The lighter pair of the two pairs of footsteps that entered approached your hiding spot.

"Sweetie, you don't have to hide from us. We're not going to hurt you."

"...You're not?"

"Of course not." Well, if they were gonna kill you, you supposed they would just rip open the cover and do it. After all, whoever was in the room now, judging just by the weight of the footsteps and the fact that they were probably robots,  had the strength to do it. But then again...

"Yeah, we won't hurt you! Not on purpose anyways" the second voice added, muttering the last part under breath. You didn't hear that part.

"Promise?" Suspicion laced your voice.

There was a moment of silence before both voices responded in unison. "Yes." Despite the initial hesitation, the two voices did sound sincere. Or maybe it was just the childlike innocence within you that told you so.

Reluctantly, you pulled open the cover of the crawl space. You were greeted by a blue-haired animatronic with closed eyes and heavy eyeshadow.

She... wasn't really THAT scary you supposed.

She smiled at you in a friendly manner. "Please, come out." She extended her large metallic hand to you.

Slowly, you placed your small hand within the palm of hers.

And you let her gently pull you out.

You took time to look at the animatronics that who were also in the dark musty room. There was a clown animatronic, whom you figured was the one referred to as Circus.

There were also two much shorter animatronics hiding behind the clown.

During your moment of distraction, the ballerina gingerly picked you up and held you her arms. You squeaked in surprise, but you didn't try to break free. Her hold on you didn't feel threating so you didn't feel the need too.

You didn't expect for the animatronics to act warmly towards you, and you certainly didn't think you'd be even remotely trusting towards them. Yet here you were, allowing yourself to be carried to some mystery destination by one of the animatronics.

You soon arrived in one of the empty showrooms. The ballerina put you down on the stage as if you'd break. The ballerina and the clown sat really close to each other on the stage but were a good ten feet away from where you sat. You shuddered slightly as their faceplates shifted.

The two small animatronics that hid behind the clown had long ago disappeared. But they didn't stay away forever, for they soon returned with the other animatronics by their side before vanishing yet again.

They all gathered somewhat around you, but nobody said anything for a solid ten minutes.

Eventually, Circus stood up, unlinking her hands from the ballerina's. She approached slightly but still left a lot of distance between the two of you.

"Sooo..." She started awkwardly. "How did you get in here?"

"I got lost. Is there any way for me to get out of here?"

Circus gave you an odd expression you couldn't really decipher. "Well... not really. We're on lockdown at the moment. Nobody can get in or out."

"Oh..." Slight disappointment was visible in your voice.

"Sorry, kiddo." The animatronics actually did kind of look genuinely sorry for you.

"We'd get you back to your parents if we could, but you're kind of stuck with us for now."

"Well... I guess if I'm gonna be with you guys, I might as well learn your names." You still weren't sure why you were acting like this now. Especially since the animatronics were still really intimidating.

You had absolutely no idea where this sudden friendliness was coming from.

The first to introduce themselves was the clown in the red dress. "Well, my name is Circus Baby. You can just call me Baby though. Or Circus. The Bidybabs are really the only ones that call me that though..." She rambled, a smile playing on her red painted lips. She was rather short, being only about half a foot taller than you, and her red hair was pulled into pigtails, the most intimidating of hairstyles.

She stopped herself once she realized she was rambling. Her voice box produced a harsh sound similar to that of a human clearing their throat. "Sorry, ANYWAYS,"

Baby gestured towards another animatronic. "The tall one with the nice cheekbones is Ballora."

Ballora was the slender woman with the blue hair and heavy eyeshadow. She wore a pink tutu and top that was probably too low cut for a children's restaurant.

Baby motioned to a tall pink and white fox animatronic next. "This is-" The fox cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "My name is Funtime Foxy." They wore a red bow around their neck and cuffs around their wrists. Their piercing yellow eyes seemed to bore holes into your soul. Foxy's faceplates shifting slightly as they grinned and extended their clawed hand for you to shake. You shook it with slight hesitation, getting slight chills from the coldness of their metal form.

"Uh... yeah, that's Funtime Foxy." Baby said, giving the fox a dirty look. She then moved on to the short purplish-pink and white bear animatronic who had scared the living shit out of you earlier. "This fuzzhead marshmallow is Funtime Freddy." Freddy adjusted his little top hat and grinned a goofy yet terrifying smile. "H-HELLO THERE!" Freddy gestured to the bluish rabbit puppet that replaced one of his hands. "THIS IS M-M-MY FRIEND BON BON!" The puppet waved one of its stubby arms at you. "Hiya!"

"Hello..." You waved back shyly.

"And last, and certainly most noodly, is Ennard." Baby said, introducing the foreboding figure standing in the shadows you'd hadn't even noticed. He was a tall mass of wires and eyeballs. The only thing creepier than his tangled mess of a body was the creepy clown mask strapped to his face. Especially since you could see his sharp teeth, and icy blue eyes beneath the mask. He didn't say anything to you. He just kind of grunted in acknowledgment.

You made a mental note to never be alone with him in a room.

"And what's your name sweetie?" Ballora asked.

"It's y/n."

Someone wanted Ballora to hold the reader in a motherly fashion so I figured I'd oblige.
