You Murdered Him

I tried to do something a little different. This is a one-shot of Percy Jackson committing suicide.

Just an average girl, she always wore a smile

Percy Jackson 3 years old

He ran back from his mum's sweet shop, a big smile on his face. She had just been promoted to sweet keeper, which meant he got more sweets. But only blue ones.

His babysitter smiled at him. He was just too adorably cute and happy; a little ray of sunshine. He smiled a toothy smile at her and offered her a sweet. With that smile she couldn't say no.

At the end of the day when Sally got home, she could truthfully say he had been a little angel.

She was cheerful and happy for a short while

Percy smiled at his friend, a cheerful smile. Adelina was his best friend at Youngwood academy. They made up a handshake for a little club of theirs.

The little club had "group" meetings. The two of them would make plans to nick some of Sally's freshly-cooked cookies.

They would always do puppy eyes on her, which made her instantly forgive them. He was such a cheerful boy that she couldn't help but be proud, and she was sure Poseidon was as well.

Now she's older things are getting colder

Clarrise has taken all the glory for the fleece, not even mentioning Percy getting it once. It was like she had planned that all along.

Even during Summer, to Percy it felt like Winter, the cold slowly freezing his heart, making him more depressed but he kept up his happy mask, only a few more years then he could finally get what he wanted more than anything else.

Peace.

Life's not what she thought, she wished someone had told her

Percy had always thought before Gabe came along that he'd have a brilliant life, no one told him he'd slowly suffocate on his guilt.

This was the first quest which people had died on. First Bianca, then Zoë. He was slowly breaking on the inside.

If you looked close enough at his eyes, you would see cracks in the sea-green colour. But nobody noticed, they always expected him to be strong, even when he felt like running home to his mum and curling up in her embrace.

All he wished for was the guilt to go away.

He was slowly suffocating on it, and he knew that soon enough, it would break him.

She told you she was down, you let it slip by

Percy had just told Annabeth that he was feeling guilty. She had just stared at him and walked off to teach another camper.

Cracks spread along his eyes a bit more, she had ignored him and he was half way broken.

He had told Chiron as well. Well, tried to. He couldn't after the old horse's reassuring him that it would be alright.
