Ashley

Hey guy here's another chapter. Soryy it took so long I had end of school exams. But anyway...heres chapter 2!

* Antinasia's POV*

* 3 weeks later 5 days till she marries William*

I awoke to soft sunlight streaming down on my face and the sound of the early morning birds singing their tunes. I sighed to myself thinking of the night I would have to spend with William, discussing wedding plans. If my father approved of the courting, you could most defiantly say he was marveling at the plans for marriage.

After I dressed, I walked to father's room, where I was to meet William so we could discuss finale details for the wedding. I knocked on fathers door gently, hoping it wasn't to early considering the morning sun has barley arose. I was greeted by my father, with a smile plastered all over his face. I smiled softly at him, at least I was making someone happy.

" My daughter, I am glad you have made it, for it is time for you and William to finish discussing wedding details." He said excitedly.

" Of course father, William, shall we be going?" I asked, my gaze turning to him.

" Sure my love, shall we walk or ride horse back?"

" Walking is fine." I sighed to myself as we said our goodbyes to father and made our way down the gravel road, walking to know where specific.

" So my love, 5 days....5 days till you will officially be my wife and we can start a family of our own. I know this might not be what you want, but believe me, it could my for the best my lady."

" William, my dear friend, you know this isn't what I want. But you also know father wont accept anything less. He expects this. We would have been forced to be married under the lord by any means necessary, willing or not. Even though I still don't want this."

" Antinasia, my darling, my love, how can you not be excited about the wedding? You will have a husband that loves you, and will be able to support you financially. If that's what bothers you, then you mustn't worry."

" But that's not what I'm worried about William! Ever since I've been a small child I've dreamed of a fairly tale wedding, one perfect for a princess. With a man I truly loved with all my heart as more than a friend. I don't know if I can continue with this William." I stated sadly.

" Why can't you just accept this antinasia?! I love you and I will always be there for you. We can have a family together and be happy. I know you see me as only a friend, but this is for the best." He looked up, meeting my eyes. Sadness and frustration swimming around in them.

I looked into those eyes, the eyes that knew how to comfort me when know one else could, eyes that held mine searching for deeper meaning behind my words. Eyes that loved me. It was that instant I knew I couldn't do this. I couldn't go through with the marriage no matter what. There is someone out there who is truly right for William. His true soul mate, not his good friend.

I felt a tear slide down my cheek as I forced myself to say these next words, " William, I-....I I'm so sorry I just cant do this. Please you must understand William. We could never be truly happy, I'm so sorry."

I turned and ran, not thinking were I was going. Just like I wasn't watching to see if a group of hunting horses was going to come by. It was one of the biggest mistakes of my long life, not looking for one second just to check. Before I knew it the horses were closing in on me. The men couldn't stop them on times, considering they didn't see my right away being atop their high horses. But before I felt the impact, before I felt the pain, I felt two strong hands grip my waist pushing me out of the way. I gasped, landing on the gravel which sliced open the palms and forearms. I looked back for William who I knew pushed me out of the way. I gasped when I saw. It was a horrible sight. Blood was everywhere. William was crushed and trampled by the horses, because he pushed me out of the way.

I gasped again, as the gravity of the situation hit me. My William, my best friend. He died, saving me. He risked his life just so I could have mine. I crawled over to where his body was. Sobbing as I pulled his lifeless shell into my arms.

My mind went blank as it processed what happened. Everything was running through my mind. The memories of my childhood with William, our first kiss, the day he told me he loved me. It all flashed through my mind. I couldn't even tell him how much I truly did love him, before he was ripped away from me. I will never forget the night he died in my arms. Or the many things it would cause in the very near future.

There was many things happening around me. None of which my brain could processes. I was confused and cold and had no perception of the world around me. I started ahead vaguely realizing father was looking at me. He must've heard what happened. And my last thought before I blacked out was, wow, fathers going to be so disappointed. And my world was black.

*** fast forwarding by a week***

I never really remembered what happened during that week of my life. I was truly not myself. I wouldn't come out of my room, I wouldn't speak to anyone. I was a total mute. The burial happened and life moved on....well accept mine of course.

****The day after the wedding was supposed to take place.****

I don't know why, or how, but I found myself at the site where the accident happened. It was extremely late into the night, but I didn't care, I needed to get closure somehow. I was about to sit down on the road when a flash of movement was caught in my peripheral vision. My eyes widened as something moved startingly fast in the woods around me. My eyes tried to follow the movement, but it didn't work.

I was about to run back towards the palace when to cold, hard, and monstrous hand wrapped around my neck, cutting off all thoughts in my head. I felt the creature breathe on my ear. I was to scared to scream or try to run form the beast behind me, but I couldn't breathe never mind speak.

It's tongue flicked out and licked the skin under my ear. My heart race picked up as the monster behind me chuckled cunningly.

" well, what have we here beautiful."

I was about to reply when I felt another presence behind me.

" Don't be stupid Lucian, we must be careful." The cold hands released my neck, but before I could run a new pair wrapped around my neck. I gasped and flinched as I felt a bolt of electricity and sparks flew through my body. The man behind me paused inhaling sharply. He felt it to, I know he did. Only then did it hit me once again. He was still holding my neck. The world starting tipping sideways as I struggled for air. The man behind me too deep in thought to notice. And before I could control it. My world was once again black.
