Claudia on the side >
A little troublemaker named Trey called me the moment before I was about to fall asleep. Why? Just...why? It's like Destiny gets a text to tell her when to mess up a good moment. I have met Destiny though. She's a real person, Destiny Fate, she's on the Dream Team. If you ever wonder why we have the phrase 'Fate's calling', she picks up her phone and organises something to happen.
It's been a long day, though. With the heinous, beauty-obsessed troll insulting my image just because she couldn't gain a gram to pass for 'healthy-skinny', my dad forbid me from going to Claudia's party and to top it off, I was going to go to sleep early and it took me so long to get comfortable. Why did Destiny decide to impact my sleep?
"Hello?" I murmured into the speaker.
"Hello, doll," He replied. Ignoring his comment about calling me 'doll', I was surprised who called.
"Trey?"
"Yes, and I'm saving you from your boredom," He declared as I looked at my phone screen.
"It's 9:30. And it's Monday night,"
"Well, I am saving you from your solitary confinement and showing you my idea of fun," He cheerily replied. For me, fun would be laying on the grass in mid-June, looking up at the sky for hours. Trey's idea of fun, from what I know of him, is doing something spontaneous and risky.
"How are you gonna do that?" My croaky voice turned back to normal halfway through.
"Well, you are gonna sneak out, then I'm gonna take you to Claudia's party,"
Does he know who he is talking to? This is the girl who is still blushes if she gets complimented. I'm not brave like Hadley or Candee. They enjoy themselves and have fun, regardless with what they have to face later. They remember why they did it, and they have a blast. I can't be that girl. I'm just not the type. I'll be dead if my parents find out. They'll disown me. I'm not even kidding.
"Trey Clemmins, are you persuading me to disobey my parents and sneak out of my house?" I rhetorically asked.
"Points for creativity?"
Huh?
"What creativity?"
"Look outside," My eyes shot wide open. Is he seriously here? Outside my house? Really? I swear, real life doesn't happen like this. Maybe in a John Hughes movie, but not reality.
"If you are here, I will throw toilet paper at your head," I threatened. I lazily got out of bed and walked to my window. Yep, he's here, outside his car, looking up to me and waving. I zapped a roll of toilet paper on my bed, grabbed it and threw it across the street at his car.
"I'm going to kill you," I laughed.
"You can't, you'll lose your back-up husband,"
You may not need him anymore, Astrid laughed. That might be mean, but it's true. If things turn out great for Kenicke, I reckon we could end up together.
"I can always find a new one," I half joked.
"Audrey, just tell me one thing,"
I sighed and waited for him to finish talking.
"If you don't do this tonight, will you regret it in the future?"
It took me some time to think about it. There are so many things I've done that I regret. So much. I know I can always go back in time if I truly regret it, but something could've happened along the way that made it worthwhile. Maybe this opportunity is calling because of Destiny. She probably has a plan for me, and that I should take this chance.
