Lily got the guys to leave Madigan alone for the rest of the night and much to Madigan's surprise they didn't bother her for the next day too. It was three days later when Sirius Black approached her in the library no less. "So this is what the library looks like. I heard a lot of stories about it." Sirius says as he flopped down in a seat across from Madigan. Madigan looks at him with worry in her eyes. "Don't worry, I won't bother you." He smiles. "I just came by to apologize. I didn't mean to upset you. Evans told me you don't like talking to people and that it upsets you." Madigan stays silent as she stares at Sirius. "Look, Red-

"M-My name's Madigan." She whispers.

"I know, but I like calling you Red."

"Why?" Sirius smiles a real smile at her and reaches over to her. She tenses up as he grabs a red lock of her and twirls his finger around it.

"Because of your red hair, of course, little Red." She blushes, her eyes falling to her book. Sirius lets the hair go and leans back in his seat. "So, what are you reading?" Sirius takes the book from her and looks at the front of it.

"Why are you reading a healing book?"

"I..." Madigan swallows. "I'm taking private studies with Madam Pomfrey."

"Are you thinking of being a healer after school? Evans said you're in your 6th year."

"I was debating it." She whispers. "Why are you talking to me?"

"Well, Evans said you get upset talking to people, so I thought I'd go ahead and get you comfortable talking to me."

"Why?" Sirius grins.

"Because you interest me." Madigan falls into a surprise shock.

"I..." She frowns and takes her book back and goes back to reading. Sirius lets her knowing Evans says reading calms her down. He lets her read for awhile, just watching her. When she finally finished the chapter she is on he speaks up again.

"You're dad's a magizoologist, right? Are you thinking about being that after school?"

"I love animals, but I also think helping people is good too." She whispers.

"Why not be both?" Her gaze snaps up to his. "Become a healer and do the whole taking care of animals on the side."

"I... I never thought about that."

"See, I'm helpful." Sirius smiles at her, causing her stomach to stir. She lowers her eyes to her book. Sirius looks at her as she stares at her book. He can tell she isn't reading but thinking. Sirius leans forward, resting his elbows on the desk and his chin on his fists. "What are you thinking about?" Sirius asks, causing Madigan to glance shyly up at him.

"Nothing."

"Lier." Madigan stares at him, unsure how to talk to him. He's not like Lily. Lily was very calming and sweet, she made it almost easy to talk to her, but with Sirius... he's different. "Come on, tell me what you're thinking about." Sirius says.

"Why do you want to know so badly?" Sirius shrugs.

"I'm a curious person."

"Curiosity killed the cat." It slips out before Madigan can stop herself. "I-I'm sorry, that was rude, I didn't-

"It's fine." Sirius grins. "It's good thing I'm not a cat." She looks up at him totally taken aback by his relaxed nature. It's a bit intimidating to the always shy Madigan. "So... are you going to tell me?" She sighs and goes to tell him when suddenly a blonde interrupts their conversation.

"Sirius, I didn't think you knew where the library was?" The blonde is beautiful, but also slutty. Her skirt is too short, her blouse is too tight and isn't button up enough because her breasts were practically hanging out, and her hair is obviously fake blonde. Madigan can see her roots are brown.
