"Ughh," Yoosung grumbled that lunchtime as he prodded at his food, his face twisted in disgust. "This is so gross. How can they even serve something like this?"
You chewed happily on your pre-prepared lunch, fixing him with a half-smile. "Why don't you start making your own lunch, like I do?"
He gave you a deadpan look across the table, as if the answer to that was obvious. "Do your really think I have time to make my own lunch?"
"Well I do," you pointed out, shrugging. "You just need to wake up a bit earlier than usual."
"But I go to bed too late to do that."
You rolled your eyes, waving your fork absently in his direction. "Then go to bed earlier."
He groaned again, setting down his utensils and burying his face in his hands. "But then I can't spend as much time on LOLOL."
You sighed exasperatedly. LOLOL was his excuse for everything, whether it be an overdue assignment or a nap in the middle of class, it all came down to playing too much of that stupid video game. "You are too obsessed with that game for your own good," you scolded, giving him a hard look to emphasise the point. "If you're really that bothered about having a good lunch, then you'll go to bed earlier and prepare your own food in the morning."
Yoosung merely pouted, and let the matter drop.
Of course, the next day saw the same conversation. And the day after that. It became a routine. He always slipped in some complaint or other about the food Sky University served, but he never once bothered to take your advice and cook his own lunch.
So you decided to do something instead.
The next morning, you prepared two lunches instead of one. Yoosung was your best friend after all, and cooking was something you always enjoyed, so you didn't mind the extra effort in the slightest.
As lunchtime rolled around, you apprehended the blond on his way to join the queue and pulled him over to an empty table with a loose smile.
"[Y/N], what are you doing? I haven't got my lunch yet!" He whined as you made him sit down on one of the hard plastic chairs.
"I know," you said simply, sitting down opposite him and opening up your school bag. "That's because I made you one."
Yoosung stared at you with his mouth open. "You what? Wait, are you being serious?"
You shrugged, sliding over the second lunchbox you'd prepared that morning. "I'm being completely serious. There you go. It's a new recipe so I hope you like it," you told him, chewing nervously on your lip as he peeled open the lid and looked inside. His eyes started glimmering.
"That looks amazing! And it smells so good," he cooed excitedly, picking up his fork and trying some of the omelette. "There are so many different flavours. How did you find the time to make all of this?"
"I told you," you said with a sheepish smile, opening up your own lunch, "I wake up super early."
"Well this is sooooo good," he said, spraying the table with crumbs. You pulled a face at his lack of manners, but found yourself grinning nonetheless. It was hard not to smile around him.
"I'm glad you like it."
"I can't believe you made this just for me. You're an awesome friend, [Y/N]!"
You shrugged loosely, distracting yourself by digging into your own food. You weren't used to being showered with compliments. "I know."
Yoosung suddenly fixed you with an imploring look, his hands coming together in a prayer. "Will you teach me how to make such nice lunches? Please, please?"
You smiled and blushed faintly at his request. "Of course, Yoosung. Anything for you~"
