"Abigail doesn't understand real human emotion, she can only imitate it."

My mother blinks.

'Emotion is a pleasant or unpleasant mental state organized in the limbic system of the mammalian brain.'

"She's a human being! My daughter has feelings just like the rest of the world."

"That may be, but she is indifferent and lacks emotional understanding, I suggest you put her in a more thourough theraputic treatment."

"Can I go home?"

"Oh, Abby. I'm so sorry honey...the doctors think you should stay."

My mother couldn't look me in the eye.

"And what do you think, mother? Am I crazy? Am I dangerous?"

Her expression darkens.

"You're my daughter, Abigail...you're my daughter and you tried to kill yourself! If your not a danger to society, you are to yourself."

"Then you should leave. Visiting hours are over."

July 6

Do it.

'Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.'

She blinked at ceiling of the bathroom, her arms gripping the sides of the tub.

Do it.

'The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F ma.'

Slowly her head pushed under the water. She forced her eyes to stay open, so she could stare blearily at the shower lights.

Do it. Do it. Do it.

'The oceans contain enough salt to cover all the continents to a depth of nearly 500 feet.'

She pursed her lips tighter together and forced her eyes to stay open.

You can do it. You can do it!

Her grip on the bathtub grew tighter.

You can't do it.

She shot up; gasping for air, leaning over the side of the tub.

Pushing the wet, blonde curls out of her face as she reached for a towel.

'Maybe tomorrow.'

I stare at the mirror at; at my reflection.

Who am I?

Abigail Issacs

What am I?.

Ex- crazy person.

Where am I? Hell. With who? My Aunt. Why? My Mother doesn't love me anymore. Because? I broke her heart.

'knock, knock!'

"Enter."

"That was very warm and friendly, Abby"

That's my Aunt Rita. She's crazy too, just not certified like me.

"It wasn't supposed to be, my apologies."

She smirks, "Your charming, breakfast is ready, get your dizzy ass downstairs".

*

"I found you a job."

I stare.

"Why?"
