(I hope you've enjoyed this little story. I enjoyed writing it. I had feels when editing it so I hope you have feels too. Feel the feels.)
~~~Rythian~~~
After telling Martyn and Toby the story they both stared at me then looked at each other.
"Lividcoffee Industries you say? And they are connected with you?"
"My dad worked with them. I don't know what he did. Or how he died or how it has anything to do with me."
Martyn nodded at Toby then smiled gently at me. "I know how it has everything to do with you. And me. Both of out fathers were experiments at that lab. What can you do?"
"What?"
He sighed and Toby walked back to the tent and went in.
"Our fathers were tested on. They were trying to make hybrids and infuse magic into them. One day all of them escaped. You father, my father, and someone else. The magic wasn't prominent in them but it seems it passed to us." He gestured at a tree and it froze, "So I ask again what can you do?"
I looked over at the pile of firewood. I lifted one of them up and added it to the dead fire. Then I lit it using the purple fire.
"Is that it?"
I shook my head, "I can teleport as well."
"Ah Ender magic. Your father was the one spliced with an enderman. Enderborn isn't really your last name is it?" I shook my head. "Fair enough. Might as well keep it. When I use my magic I go by a different name as well. Inthelittlefrost. My dad's genes were spliced with that of a snow golem. I don't understand how it works." I looked back at the tent. "Toby is a wonderful person but that side of me is dangerous and he hates it. I do too but I can't get rid of it. But I love him too much to leave him even to protect him. And he loves me too much to leave." Toby's head poked out of the tent and he stuck his tongue out at Martyn. "I'm done with it Toby. You can come back out."
Toby grinned and walked over. He looked at the seat on the log next to Martyn but instead just sat on his lap. Martyn shook his head but kissed him on the nose. I smiled then it faded.
"Wait you said there were three experiments. There's two of us. Where's the third?"
"Well we were on our way to find you actually. And the third, if what my father told me was correct, is in the city Survival. Not far from Vanilla but a lot smaller."
"Yeah I've heard of it. I'm not sure where it is. Or where we are. I just teleported to get away. I was hoping for the mountains by Vanilla but I guess I missed."
"Not by much though. We are just a few miles away from the mountain range you are talking about."
I nodded. I know generally where we are then. "And how far is that from Survival?"
"Only ten miles east I would say. We can start there in the morning. But we've been extremely lucky that nothing's bothered us yet. We have an extra bed you can use if you'd like?"
"That sounds amazing."
The three of us walked to the tent and Martyn and Toby hopped into the bed on the left. I slid into the one on the right.
"You'll be fine Rythian. Nothing will bother us."
I nodded and slipped into sleep. I wish I couldn't have said a peaceful sleep but
I couldn't. There was nothing peaceful about it. I kept seeing my mom die over and over. In the morning I woke up with a slight layer of sweat covering my whole body. But my blanket was frozen. On the table next to me was a note.
