Remember that note you left in his pocket? .... Let me refresh your memory.

You had never been good at expressing your words verbally, and when Roy would show up, you would be too flustered to even try to produce full sentences. But there was one thing you had always been good at: expressing your feelings in writing, so you sought out to write Roy a note, telling him how you felt. You figured this would be best; after all, you had tried to tell him before and instead said that you needed eyes.

So you sat down on your bed, leaning your back against the headboard, notepad on your lap and a pen in your hand. You would not make a second copy of this. You would not try to rewrite it. You would write your feelings without making it sound eloquent or formal. You loved Roy. You wanted to tell him, but found yourself unable to.

Roy,
I know this might be weird for you, but I want to tell you that I love being with you, or even near you. When I'm with you, all I can see is you. You make me smile and laugh in a way no one else has ever been able to before. I'm not scared when I'm with you.

You're a good person Roy. You fight for what you know is right. You defend your friends and family above all else. You have a strong sense of what is right and wrong. You keep people safe. You to talk to me, not at me, and you do the same for others.

I love you,

Before you could sign the note, there was a knock at the door. You quickly tore the page out and folded it over, throwing your notebook to the ground and shoving the paper in your pocket.

"Yeah?" You asked, opening your door. It was your mother.

"It's time for dinner."

~~~~Next Day~~~~
Ollie had sent Roy outside before he let you in, knowing the deep affection Roy harboured for you. Entering the Arrowcave, you looked around for Roy.
"He's not here yet." Oliver said, trying very hard to not smirk.
"Oh, um, I have a note for him." You said, fidgeting.
"His jacket's over there if you want to put it in his pocket." Oliver pointed to the jacket on the side of the room closest to you.
"Thanks." You said, placing the note in his pocket.
You left the Arrowcave and it wasn't until you had almost made your way home that you realized you had forgotten to sign the note....
You were torn. Should you go back and tell Roy you left the note? Should you do it tomorrow? You decided you'd head back today, already with a nervous tangle of knots in your stomach. Before you could get far, Roy jumped out in front of you, in full Red Arrow gear.
He leaned down and hugged you, tight.
"I love you too." He whispered in your ear.
