I woke to a fuzzy noise blaring in my left ear.

Shifting in the thick and silky sheets, I groaned in annoyance, feeling my head pound, I felt a headache sweep over me, and a familiar throbbing pain on my cheek.

I sat up, the cold air hitting my bare upper body. I swept a hand across the night stand placed beside me, grabbing my shitty phone, the unprotected screen was cracked from past events of dropping it on pavement, mostly from Eric smacking it onto the ground after I beat him in a video game just over a year ago.

My vision blurry, I answered the call with a lazy greeting, my voice groggy and tired. Sunlight sifted through the window over the guest bed, shining in my eyes, the bright light blinding me as I heard a familiar voice over the line. I ran a hand through my messy dirty-blonde hair, blinking slowly, but repeatedly, as an attempt to get my blurry vision to clear up, turning my head from the bright window until my sight adjusted.

"Is this Kenny McCormick?" The familiar voice asked. I paused, trying to figure out who the person on the line was.

"uh, yeah, who's asking?" I replied, my voice sounding more clear, but confused.

Having my vision cleared, I scanned the guest bedroom Stan and Kyle let me sleep in after the "big fight". I rubbed the bruise on my cheek where Tucker had punched me across the face, replaying last nights events in my mind.

"You may not remember me from high-school, but this is Token Black speaking." He replied as I put the pieces together, my memory becoming more clear.

"Ah, I thought you sounded familiar." I recalled, rubbing my eye with my palm, I blinked.

"Alright, uh, but why are you calling me, Token?" I questioned, raising a brow and falling back into the soft sheets with a 'fwump'.

"Oh, right. My girlfriend, Nichole Daniels and I are throwing a party at our house. I invited a bunch of others that you should recognize as well from high-school, so i'm sure it'll be a blast!"

His voice became more enthusiastic as he finished off his sentence, I could hear him grin on the other side of the line. I paused, pondering wether or not to go.

"Have you invited Stan and Kyle?" I asked out of simple curiosity, brushing a hand through my golden locks of hair.

"Actually, I was just going to ask them after inviting you." He replied bluntly.

"No need, I'll ask 'em for you." I confirmed, glancing at the digital clock on my bedside, which read   [9:26 AM] .

"Really? cool! so, i'll see you at the party tonight, then?" Token asked.

I decided that I would show up, and got some more information from Token about it.
He told me the party would begin at eight on the dot, and end when people were either too bored or drunk to stay conscious. Token also had a new so-called house with his girlfriend Nichole, although I knew damn well it was a mansion, since the power couple were filthy rich.

I hung up soon after getting the information, sitting up in bed and stretching my arms over my head, now wide-awake. I looked around, my memory slightly fuzzy from last night, but it didn't really matter that much.

I swung my legs to the left side of the bed, the bottoms of my feet touching the cold ground. I slightly flinched at the cold touch, tip-toeing to the door and swinging it open as I slipped on my parka lazily. I pulled the hood over my head, but left the zipper loosely open, exposing my old and slightly tattered shirt.

I peeked into the kitchen, my eyes lazily scanning across the room. My head perked up as I noticed my two old friends, Stan and Kyle sitting at the dining table.
