Recap:

"Um, sorry, me again. Your taking us out of the city. There are no stops outside of the city." I said. "I know." He said, flashing me an evil smirk.

"Then where are you taking us?"

"It's a secret."

"You know what, I'm calling the police." I said as I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and pressed the home buton to turn on the screen.

"Good luck with that. You won't get a signal." He said while smiling. I looked around to see we had driven into the desert.

"Why the hell are we in the desert, and why am I not getting a signal?" I said confused.

"You'll see and you're not getting a signal because I put signal blockers on the roof and around the windows. And don't try to get off the bus."

"Why?"

"Do you ever NOT have a question? And because," He then grabbed the speaker so the whole bus could hear what he had to say, "Attention all youths and adolescences, you may have noticed I.... changed the route a little bit. But that is because we have had a change of plans."

There were a few "Whats?" and "Huhs?" heard throughout the bus but most didn't even look up from their phones to find out what was going on.

"We are currently on our way a... research facility where you will be tested to see if you can recieve the... treatment."

A boy in the back, with shaggy black hair, obviously a freshman, stood up, "What happens if we don't pass the test?"

"Oh, I'm sure you will find out about that, now everyone sit down and enjoy the ride and don't try to leave." The bus driver said.

Just then a senior girl I had seen ride a few times stood up and reached for a window, "Why the hell not." She said to no one in particular. The window was an emercency window but the kind that opened up an entire door in the side of the bus. "We're not going that fast you could survive this."

"I would'nt do that if I were you." The bus driver said in a sing-song voice from the front without taking his eyes off the road.

"Well good thing you're not me." She retorted then she pulled the lever. At first nothing happened but as soon as she pushed the door open...

BOOM!!!!!

There was a huge explosion and her and every one within a three seat range were blown away and the girl lay unmoving, with her blood running down the side off the bus and covering the others who were thrown. The boy who had asked about the tests ran forward whilst everyone else remained frozen, still not processing what had happened, though I could see tears running down a few faces as fear coursed trough their bodies. I watched as the boy reached forward placing his hand on her neck, feeling for a pulse.

In a shaky voice he said, "She's... She's dead." Thats when everything went haywire, people started screaming and crying. Some who were still in shock receded even farther into submission, sitting with their heads in their hands or facing forwards their emotions only shown by the tears streaming down their face.

"I told her not to do that. Why does no one listen?" I could hear the driver mumble to himself.

Fear coursed through my own body. This had suddenly turned from a kidnapping of a bus full of children, which I figured would be noticed quicker than anything else but, now someone was dead. Someone had actually died. I slid into the seat behind the driver and rested my forehead on the wall in front of me .Processing the fact that someone was dead, I remembered everything I could about her. I even remembered her name, Emma. I remebered seeing her around school, making out with her boyfriend before the beginning of the art class we shared. Or that we had shared. Then her death began replaying in my mind, over and over I watched as she died again and again. I didn't realize I had been crying until I looked down and saw the drops on my trembling fingers, which were clasped tightly in my lap as if they would break if they they weren't fit together as tightly as possible.
