Uchenna's POV
*Senior Year In High School*
"Do you have to leave?"I asked Mitch as I stared into his eyes. "Scott wants to do this, Uchenna. I'll miss you. A lot."He said and hugged me tightly.
My best friend can't leave me. He is my best friend. He is like a brother. I need him. I can't stand Mitch leaving me.
I felt tears form in my eyes and they fall down my cheeks.
"Uchenna, don't cry. Please, you're gonna make me cry."
"I can't stop crying. You're leaving me. I don't want you to leave, Mitch. I can't live without you."I sobbed into his chest.
Mitch's hand went to my chin and he lifted my head up to look at his face.
"How about this? I will Skype you everyday. I will call and text you everyday. I will do anything to keep in touch with you."He said and rested his forehead against mine.
"Promise?"
"Pinky promise."He held his pinky finger around mine and we smiled widely at each other.
Mitch grabbed his suitcase and left without another word left to say.
*Present time*
"You're an idiot!"I yelled at Mitch through the laptop screen.
"A fabulous idiot, thank you."He said and took a drink of coffee. I busted out laughing and my eyes were watering with tears.
God, why do I have these feelings for Mitch? I love him to death. Everything about him is just perfect. His smile, his laugh, his personalty, everything.
"Uchenna, I have something to tell you."Mitch said causing my thoughts to be interrupted.
"What is it?"
"I'm coming to Arlington!"
My heart stopped and it felt like the world was froze in time.
"Oh my god, Mitch! This is amazing!"I said. I felt tears of happiness and sadness come out of my eyes.
'No, no, no, no, no!'I yelled in my thoughts.
"Uchenna? Are you crying?"He asked with confusion.
'Dang it! He noticed!'
"I'm just happy that you're coming. I haven't seen you since 2011, Mitch. I miss. You're my best friend. I lo-"I stopped myself from finishing what I was gonna say.
"You what?"He asked.
"I love you."There. I said it. Great. Just great.

Mitch's POV
She loves me? Uchenna loves me? "Please don't say anything Mitch."She said with tears in her eyes.
"Uchenna, we'll talk about this when I get there. I'm not mad or anything. Just need to think, that's all."I said. She nodded and ended the Skype call.
"Mitch? Where's my-"Scott stopped talking and looked at me curled up in a ball on the bed.
"What's wrong?"
"I told Uchenna on Skype that I was coming to visit her and she said she loved me."I mumbled.
"I don't know how to react, Scott."I said with my face in my hands.
Scott walked towards me and laid in front of me.
"I think you love her."
"What?!"
"You two have been friends since Pre-K, Mitch! Leaving her for the Sing-Off tore her heart into pieces. Do you know how much that hurt her?"
"You were the person that wanted to go onto the Sing-Off in the first place!"I yelled. I sighed and controlled my anger.
"Just talk to her when you get there, Mitch. Please?"Scott begged.
"Fine."I sighed.
"Good. Call me when you land, okay?"
"Alright, Scotty."
I grabbed my suitcase and ran out of the room.

Uchenna's POV
I sat on the bed playing on my phone and listened to my music. I hummed along to the song, "Human" by Christina Perri.
"Your words in my head and knives in my heart. You build me up and then I fall apart."I sang. All of the sudden, my earbuds are token out of my ears.
"Surprise, surprise."
I looked up and saw the man I've wanted to see for 3 years.
Mitch.
"Mitch!"I sat up and hugged him tightly. Tears fall from my eyes and I sobbed happily into his chest.
"I missed you, Mitchy."
"I missed you more, Uchenna."
I looked up at him while crying. He rested his forehead against mine and intertwines his hand with mine.
"I love you, Uchenna."
What? He loves me?
All of the sudden, Mitch crashes his lips into mine and I fell back onto the bed.
He broke the kiss and stayed on top of me. "Please stay with me like this, Mitch. Please.."I sniffled.
"I will, Uchenna."He kissed my forehead and laid his head on my chest.
"I will."
