"Follow me." Kaleb said with a flat tone.

"Where are we going"?

He didn't say anything he just kept walking. Soon though we made it to these big doors. It was passcode protected, and with a few taps it was open. When the door opened it was this huge room filled with fitness tools. There was a boxing ring, weights, a balance beam, a wall full of weapons, and a huge blue mat. We walked in more and I saw Veronica at the corner of my eye. Great. Just what I need right now.

"The feeling is mutual Doll." she said looking uninterested.

shit I forgot the royal family could read minds, this was going to be fun.

"Veronica will be training you. When she thinks you're ready to move on, then you will move up a level. There are three levels, rookie, jet, and venom, venom being the highest you can master." he said looking at me.

"Take your time and work with each other." He said looking at Veronica a minute longer. Veronica rolled her eyes and I nodded in understanding.

"I have to go to a meeting right now, but have a good first day, rookie." he smirked at me and nooded to Veronica and left.

Great. Fuck my life.

Veronica looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"So uh what are we doing today?" I asked swaying around.

"Ten."

I just stood there trying to figure out what she meant by that. She looked up and rolled her eyes at me again.

"Pushups." she said through gritted teeth. I stood there for a second longer.

"Now!" she yelled. That scared the hell out of me.

"Okay, okay damn!" I said going down and doing the ten pushups.

I got to say, vampire strength made it easier, because if I was still human I wouldn't have made it to three. I was about to get up, but she kicked me back down.

"Veronica what the hell!" I yelled.

"20 more." she said while writing down something on her clipboard .

I threw the clipboard across the room. I still don't know where all this confidents came from. My thoughts were interrupted when I felt a sting on my cheek. She had slapped me. At this point I was livid. No one had ever and I mean ever put their hands on me like that before. Who was she to think she could touch me like that?

I lunged at her, but she used her vampire speed to dodge me. I lunged at her again and I scored a punch. She touched the blood that had fell out of the cut that was now on her chin. She looked up to me with pure hatred. Before I knew it I was being held in the hair by my neck.

"I could kill you right now and not think twice about it." she said with anger shown on her features.

"Then do it."

She was still staring at me, I guess contemplating on killing me. But she threw me to the floor. I looked up at her with confusion.

"That's the shit I'm talking about. To be one of us, you have to fight until your last breath. If you see yourself in a situation where you could die, you use your head. You find a weakness in your opponent, you use your surroundings as an advantage. You don't just give up and close your eyes like a baby in a crib!" she yelled.

Even though I felt like a kid getting caught sneaking a cookie from the cookie jar, she was right. I had to step it up. they do things pretty hardcore here. I looked at her annoyed eyes. I turned over and did twenty one pushups. I did the pushups with no problem. I sat on the floor and looked up at her to get instructions on what to do next.
