Liquor

His name burnt her throat
And she tried to extinguish it with liquor
But that only carried the pain
To her drunken heart
And stung her eyes with tears
Her drunk butterflies flutter on
Her breath smells like alcohol
But his name is all she says
Her mind is clouded with
The thoughts of what they were and what they could of been
