Day 1: I'm scared. I don't know what happened. My mommy let go of my hand and I heard something and- and... I got scared when the big man made the world go away. I woke up in this room. I like it. I found paper and I drew a pretty picture. Then I found a book and I wanted to were in it. I miss Mommy.

Day 2: Mommy isn't here yet, but the big man says she will be soon. I love my Mommy. I had cereal for breakfast this morning, but the big man said to put my dish away or he'd would hurt me. I don't think the big man likes me very much. I hear heavy thumps. I think the big man is climbing the stairs up here.

Day 3: T-The big m-man hurt me. I want my Mommy now.

Day 5: The big man said he was sorry. I forgive him. He told me that he got angry with me because I don't talk very much.

Day 10: The big man said we have to move today. He gave me a box for my stuff. I asked if we're going to my Mommy. He got angry.

Day 15: We finally got to the place. I spent most of the time in the dark. There was a lot of noise. I hit my head on something. It hurts.

Day 23: It's been a long time. I don't think we will move again.

Day 34: I asked the man about my Mommy again... He hit me. He hit me a lot.

Day 46: I've been drawing lots of pictures.

Day 400: I forgot about this book. I found it under some papers. I've grown up. The man's name is Otis. He teaches me.

Day 832: I apologize as I have not been keeping this book very well. Otis has kept me very busy with my lessons. I am smarter than ever.

Day 1658: Otis beat me today. He called me a dumb mute.

Day 1659: I forgive Otis. He didn't mean what he said.

Day 1694: Otis has been very angry lately. There are bruises covering my body. It hurts to move.

Day 1695: Otis became frantic and we moved. I barely grabbed my book and pen before he took me out.

Day 1696: Otis is pacing. I can hear him. I'm scared. Poor Otis is probably upset that he hurt me even though I forgive him. I love Otis. He's all I've had for forever.

Day 1697: Otis started beating me harder than he ever had before. I admit that I'm crying just writing this. I felt my own heartbeat. It's weak. It hurts. I think I'll sleep now. I'm very tired.

REPORT: 12 YEAR OLD GIRL'S BODY FOUND RESTING ON THE BOTTOM OF SECLUDED LAKE.
Detectives found an abandoned area near the scene and discovered a small pink journal. The journal was kept by a young mute girl named Jennifer McHarphey, and it tells her bone chilling story of over 4 years of confinement. The girl was taken around age 8 and was believed to have Stockholm syndrome. The murderer is a serial killer named Otis Jeffrey, and he's murdered before. His targets are young girls around age 8, although from what authorities say younger ages are in danger as well. He takes his victims for years and twists their minds. He eventually murders them by stabbing their chest five times. The young girl recently found was beaten to death from what we know, and the death was recent. Be aware and wary, folks. That's all.
