Imagine being special. So special, that your specialty must be hidden from everyone you love and trust.
Yep, well that my friends, is me and my best friend Adaline's life, everyday. We hide, and we seek. We live and we die. We hide secrets and try to get by while doing so.
This... is our story, about our loves and secrets.
~Real story~
"ELISE! WAKE UP!" I hear Adaline yell in my ear. God, what time is it? Oh I know! Too early.
"ADALINE!" I yell just as loud as her, sitting up and my comfortable bed.
"Yesss?" She asks in a sing song voice
"I'm going to say this is the nicest way possible, but If you could please," I start softly. "SHUT UP!?"
She jumps back, and falls off my bed in shock with my tone of voice after starting off so softly. But before she could even hit the floor after falling off the bed, she was on her feet.
"What was that for?!" She says questioning, glaring at me.
"For waking me up, you'd think after as long as we've been together that you would get the clue, not to wake me. But noooo!" I say slightly annoyed, rolling my eyes and swinging my legs over the edge of the bed.
"Well excuse me, Ms. I-Wake-Up-At-3-In-The-Afternoon!" She says, throwing her arms in the air.
"Well excuse me, Ms. I-Wake-Up-At-5-In-The-Morning-And-Wake-Everyone-Up!" I shoot back.
We then have a glaring contest from opposite sides of my room. But us being us, we burst out laughing.
"I love you!" I manage to choke out between fits of laughter.
"I love yew too!" She says back. I watch as she stands up after she catches her breath and walks over to me, standing over me like a tower.
"Wanna get up now?" She asks me, raising an eyebrow.
I shrug. "I don't know, maybe. It depends."
"What if I said, if you get up I'll take you to Nandos?" She asks, and before she can even finish the word 'Nandos' I'm up and in my closet getting ready. No that was not just a figure of speech to show that I was really excited, it was actually what happened.
So I'm not going to be around the bushes, I'm just gonna flat out tell you. Me and Addi are vampires. There I said it. And as you can see, being a vampire has its perks. Like the speed, and powers. But let me tell you, everything they say in movies, well a lot of it is fake.
Such as:
-Not being able to walk in the sun
-Not having a reflection in the mirror
-Garlic
-And that we can only drink blood
1) We can walk in the sun perfectly, just like humans. No burning and melting, no ring. No strings attached, we just walk in the sun.
2) Trust me, if we didn't have a reflection in the mirror... let's just say I would look like a walking zombie rather than a human.
3) I actually love Garlic. Nuff said.
4) Me and Addi only drink blood ocasionally, other than that we eat food like regular humans. But we have to have blood every once and a while or else we will shrivle up and die. Not kidding.
Oh and the whole thing where you bit someone and they instantly become a vampire is not true. The thing is the vampire has to feed you their own blood, then kill the person after that, then they have feed off a human or they will die.
Anywho, back to reality. I look through the racks of clothes that are in me and Addi's closet. I decide to wear some short blue shorts, with a white, tight fitted top. I bend down and pick up my red converse and some socks and slip them on. (Both of the girls outfits are in the media section on the side!)
I walk out of our huge closet and out of my room and down the large, long hall way and to my king sized bathroom. After living for centuries and all you gain up quite the lot of money so we have quite a large house, a lot of clothes and practically everything you could ask for and need.
I pull out my straightener and set it on the long white marble bathroom counter and plug it into the wall. I grab my hair brush and run it through my long mixed wood colored hair. My hair is slightly wavey and turn into small curls at the bottom, it comes to just above the small of my back. I run the now hot straightener through my hair until it's straight as a stick. I then move to my scene like fringe, but may I tell you I am most deffinatly not scene.
After I am finished I walk over to my accsessories closet and pull it open, selecting one of my favorite american blue and red Obey hats and situate it on my head. I then walk back to the mirror and apply a thin layer of mascara and eyeliner to my, at the moment, earthy green eyes. See, vampires eyes change color with mood. Seeing my eyes before my tranfermation were hazel, hazel now that I am a vampire means I am happy. When my eyes turn a light brown it means that I am sad, when my eyes are a dark brown that means I am mad. When my eyes are green it means I am excited or super happy. So at the moment I am happy, or content.
I walk out of the bathroom and downstairs into the large living room and smile at Addi.
Addi's hair is let in it's normal wavy fashion and her bangs are pinned off to the side. Her hair is a dark brown, like a dark leather. Her eyes before she was human were a mossy chocolate brown with flacks of green speckled inside of them, but at the moment they were in between her normal color and a lighter brown meaning she was pretty excited for Nandos. I'm for sure my eyes were a bright green, seeing I LOVE Nandos.
"Ready?" She asks raising an dark brown eyebrow at me, smirking, and standing up.
"YOU BET!" I yell and run towards the door.
Nandos here we come!
