Forgotten chapter 21

I woke up chained to a bed. I was half naked and a few on my wounds were gone only dried up blood was there to prove the wounds Were there. I decided to calm down and focus on healing my wounds. This made me heal faster and I couldn't do it before because of how weak I was feeling but I feel much stronger now. I could feel them healing.  I snapped out of the process when I heard someone say "hey bestie". I looked around the room and my eyes landed on Anna. I couldn't believe it my own friend had betrayed me. " Why "I whispered. " Because I'm tired of living in your Shadow. Sure for 3 years of high school you were invisible but as soon as you decided to change everyone forgot about me. Like I would sit at the lunch table while you, Lisa, kai,john,and Michael are wherever and nobody sits with me, but as soon  as you show up everyone wants to me my friend. I didn't get it at first,  I mean I'm rich, pretty, and popular but yet I was still rejected. " She explained "well maybe other was a attitude problem" I said. She looked at me and laughed "I don't think that's it". She walked over to a table and picked up a needle. " Now Hope I know that you're a Tribrid but I don't really care. And I am not doing this to hurt you. I need to hurt Kai and trust me I have tried physically but he just heals and jumps back up,  so I decided that I would hurt him emotionally. I figured that the heart was the way to go. Oh and since we are "BFF's" I won't kill you............. Today ". She looked at the needle and without hesitation she drove it into my neck. I felt pain running through my body. My sight started fading and I felt my body get weaker by the minute. " Kai" I whispered and then darkness consumed me.

*Kai's POV*

My family and I had a great time in Vegas. Maya took all our phones and said that the day was about her. Although it was amazing I couldn't get hope out my head. Every moment I was wondering what she was doing, how she was feeling, and who she was with. While in the plane my wolf was prancing around with JOY. Hope is picking us up and I couldn't wait.

*2 hours later*

The plane had landed and we were waiting  for Hope outside. Maya had given me back my phone but sadly it was dead.

*1 hour later*

Everyone got tired of waiting for Hope and took a cab home. Thankfully they took my luggage with them. I refused to go because I really wanted to see hope. I walked in the airport gift shop and saw chargers on sale so I bought one and immediately plugged it in by one of the airports outlet.

*1 hour later*

I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up my phone was on 85%. I opened it and called hopes phone. A lady answered "hope!  Is that you" I was confused "ummm no it's Kai."

L-"who? "

K-"I'm Hope's boyfriend. She was suppose to pick me up from the airport 2 hours ago. "

L-" Hope hasn't been home since yesterday. No one has seen her"

I could feel my heart tighten. Worry filled my entire body. But that worry soon turned to anger. I hung up and put the phone in my pocket. I ran to the woods and shifted into my wolf. I ran not knowing where I was going. Anger was driving me and it felt like adrenaline was being pumped in my blood. Then I heard something faint "Kai". My heart jumped when I realized it was Hope's voice." She's hurt" My wolf pointed out. "How do you know? " I asked "she's my mate I can feel her". " Well your feelings aren't correct. ". I refused to believe that hope was hurt but deep down I knew that Lucas was right. I followed the direction I heard Hope's voice and came up on a little shack. I shifted back into my human form and surprisingly my clothes were still there. I broke down the door and searched the shack. It was pretty much empty. I gave up and was about to leave, but Lucas shouted "no she's here. I know it just keep looking. "  Again I searched the house but nothing. I sat down on a chair that was just in the middle of the room and placed my face in my palms. I sat back up and as I did the chair moved back with me. Then out on nowhere a little door opened. It was blending in with the wall. I slowly opened the door and that was when I saw her. Hope was laying flat on the bed chained down I  nothing but her underwear. She had multiple cuts, burns and bruises all over her body. Dried up blood was covering her face and she looked life less. My heart broke. It felt like my body had completely shut down and Lucas was just emotionally drained. I broke the chains that were holding her and put my shirt on her. Then I slowly lifted her and walked home.

I broke down the door to my house and started to walk to the staircase.

*Maya's POV (Kai's sister)*

I was laying on my bed thinking about Vegas when I heard a loud sound come from the living room. I ran out there to see the twins and Kelly just blocking my view. I squeezed through and saw that Kai was holding damaged hope. His face showed no emotions. I ran to his side and tried to touch hope but he grabbed my hand and gave me a threatening stare. I pulled back and watched him walk upstairs to his room. We all looked at each other and then at the broken door.

*Kai's POV*

I felt so empty. Like I was broken without anything to live for. I sat on the bed and gently put her head on my chest. She looked broken like all the life had been sucked out of her. I felt her faint heart beating against my slow steady one. I stroked her hair and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. As I did I felt a tear fall from my eye and saw it land on her cheek. I then closed my eyes and fell asleep. Next to the one I love.

*Rebekah's POV (Hope's aunt)

I was worried and scared. Klaus and Hayley had flipped when I told them what happened. Hayley was here calling everyone she knew while Klaus had left to search the place. He came back once a while to change his clothes because he most likely lost his temper with someone. Again he came home. "Klaus will you rest for a minute." He looked at me "no bekah,  I will not rest because if you haven't  noticed my daughter is missing. I have missed a total of 12 years of my daughters life. I'm sorry if I dont want to miss anymore". Hayley tried to help by telling him to " Calm down" But that only made it worse. "Don't you talk Hayley because you were there. You saw her first steps, her first words, her first school dance, her first crush. HAYLEY YOU WERE THERE!! I WASN'T!! " After that he looked at both of us and walked right out the door. Hayley and I stood there shocked. None of us knew. He felt that way.

*Klaus POV*

I stormed out the door and sat on some random persons steps a few blocks from my house. I started to cry. My daughter was missing. I looked up at the sky and saw it was about to rain. "God if you're there then please bring hope back home or at least give me a sign that she is ok. I need to know". Just as u did that my phone began to ring. I didn't want to answer but I felt like I need to. I picked it up and there was a girl on the other line. "Hi umm is this Klaus". " Yes who the hell is this." I said that like it was venom in my mouth. "Well look you bastard I am a human being and I deserve some respect. Anyway my name is Maya and I am one of hopes friends. I just called to say that she is here with me." I was surprised and then she hung up.........
