Skye’s Point Of View:

"I am counting to 5, Skye ." Ruth called out impatiently. I could imagine her scowling face from behind the curtain. "If you're not out by then, I am coming in to get you."

"Oh fine already." I huffed. I knew Ruth would tear down the curtain to drag me out. I sighed. It was already the fifth dress she had rejected. I took one last look at my reflection before turning to pull the curtains back reluctantly.

"Oh my god." Ruth gasped. Beside her, my mother's jaw had dropped slightly.

"What?" I began panicking, tucking a stray hair behind my ear and looking down. "Does it really look that bad? Maybe I should-"

"It's perfect, Skye ." My mother cut me off with an awe whisper. I glanced up to see tears welling up in her eyes.

Ruth nodded along. "You look beautiful." She smiled and I could not help but grin. "I guess this is it." Ruth said softly.

I turned to look at my reflection once more. This is it. It was the perfect wedding dress. Honestly, I loved it too and I bet Brantley would love it. The wedding was just two weeks away. We had finally settled on a date a month ago and that was Brantley's birthday. He insisted it was the best birthday gift I could ever gift him, that was myself. He was so sweet sometimes I hoped I didn't get diabetic from his words.

Everything had been perfect so far, sort of. The band's new album was hot and doing extremely well. So well the guys have been on tour the past two weeks but Brantley and me still contacted daily via Skype or any possible means of communication and they will be back tomorrow. The media gotten wind of our wedding news despite efforts to keep it low key but everyone seemed to love it, except a few jealous fans of course. The only thing that was still making me unhappy was my relationship with Oliver.

I had tried so hard to call him to no avail. Even had Niel drove me down to his apartment but no one answered the door. I left my wedding invite and a letter of apology on his doorstep but there has been no response. I was bummed out. I wanted my best friend by my side on my happiest day but I guessed that seemed impossible.

"Oh my god." Ruth's shocked and loud yell had me turning around sharply in confusion.

"What?" I asked instantly as I followed her gaze out to the bridal shop. My eyes widened at the sight of Jana  standing there, a small smile on her lips as she stared right at me. What was she doing here?

"Is that Jana Kramer ?" My mother asked in surprise. I barely heard Ruth reply to her.

Since that incident, I have never heard any news of Jana  any longer. Brantley didn't bring anything up and I had no desire to start any unhappy conversations.

Jana  entered the shop, keep her gaze firmly on me. Ruth immediately stood up, a clear sign she was worried of any danger Jana  might bring. Jana did not seem fazed though as she approached us confidently. Ignoring Ruth, she spoke to me. "Can I speak to you?" I blinked in disbelief. Jana glanced at a scowling Ruth to my bewildered mother before adding, "In private, please."

"Skye .." Ruth warned me gently. But Jana seemed harmless to me and I glanced around. There were surveillance cameras in the shop and witnesses. She could not possibly harm me right?

"Uh sure." I finally decided which caused Ruth to glare at me. I shook my head at her as a form of assurance. "I will be fine. Go and get some coffee with my mother." I whispered to them. Jana  had moved to sit on an empty chair, her expression expectant.

Ruth seemed reluctant but seeing my determined gaze, she sighed. "Fine. Come on Mrs Winters. Let's get some coffee."

My mother was confused but said nothing. I bet Ruth would fill her in the moment they stepped out of the shop. Once they had exit the shop and disappeared out of sight, I turned to Jana.
