Your POV.

"Eomma!" I shout to get my mother's attention.

"Ne?" She says as she makes her way to my room.

"How come I haven't seen appa lately? You say he's always at work but since that business trip, he hasn't come back since.." I said, looking at her with concern and confusion.

She sighed.

"I'm sorry 딸.." she says looking to the ground, trying to avoid eye contact.

"W-what is it?" I said, getting a little scared this time.

"O-on the way back from your father's journey.." she paused,

"T-there w-was..." she struggled to say the last few words, I already knew what she meant..

"There was an accident which he was involved in, he didn't make it" she looked up and saw me in tears.

She came up to me and cuddled me to comfort my poor soul.

"It's okay, I miss him too.." she says, stroking my back to calm me down.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner..?" I said in between sobs.

"I- I wasn't ready to tell you, I was scared that you would leave me.." she responded, a tear falling down her eye.

"Why would I leave you?" I said, breaking the hug to look at her face.

"If you became sad and upset, I was scared you would leave me too." I knew what she meant.

"Get some rest dear, you have school tomorrow." She kissed my forehead and went out of my room.

I wipe the remaining tears that were on my cheeks and laid on my bed.

"Appa? How are you doing up there? I miss you, do you miss me too?" I whispered as teats were falling again.

It hurts so much, I turn sideways and technally cried myself to sleep.

Next morning

No one's POV.

You woke up feeling light head and tired this morning, turns out you cried so much last night you feel like you can't cry anymore, you washed your face, brushed your teeth and hair and went downstairs to see your mother cooking.

"안녕 Y/n" she welcomes me and you said Hi back with a fake (?) Smile.

After breakfast, you got changed and went to the door to put on your shoes, you grabbed your bag and said bye to your mum and went out.

As you walk your way to school, you just keep sighing every 10 seconds.

"Seems like someone is in a bad mood today" a male's voice behind me, making you jump out of shock.

"Yah Jungkook!" You hit his arm.

Jungkook's POV.

"Stahhb!" I say playfully.

"Okay.." she stops and just carries on walking.

"What is it you want?" She says, being all gloomy again.

"Meet me at the rooftop after school" I said and walked away from Y/n.

The bet starts now...
