Namjoon was trying to cook dinner while all the other guys were out. He stayed behind for various reasons. 1: To impress everyone (mostly Jin); 2: He had a bit of work from PD-nim; 3: He just didn't feel like going out at all.
Namjoon and Jin had been together for quite some time now and everyone knew and supported it. It was amazing how everything worked so perfectly in their favor. They both questioned it at times but they didn't want to jinx it. After all, they would be happily together without any questions or judgement from anyone else. At least that's what they thought.
*Jin's P.O.V*
'If this is to end in fire,
Then we should burn together
Watch the flames climb high
Into the night'
The soft playing of the guitar sounded in the background, along with a beautiful voice. The sweet melody was played while Jin hummed along, looking through the shoes. He didn't want them for himself, oh no. He wanted them for someone else.
He wanted them for Namjoon. It was their one year anniversary of being together and it felt great. Jin wondered how he had gotten so lucky to have a boyfriend like him. The others adored their relationship because it was innocent and sweet.
Jin suddenly found a pair of shoes that Namjoon would like. Red converse. He looked at the shoes, reminding him of blood and fire. He quickly shook his head, getting rid of those thoughts. Tonight was about their anniversary and nothing could ruin it. Nothing.
"Guys, I think we should go now. Namjoon must be worried. " Jungkook stressed, actually worried for Namjoon's safety. No one worried for Namjoon though. Except for Jungkook. Jin was too caught up in how tonight would go instead of thinking of his boyfriend's safety. Which was one mistake he had made.
When they were taking a turn, everyone heard sirens and saw an orange glow emitting onto the other houses and streets. The rest was blurry.

Jin cried, getting out of the car immediately after realizing it was their house. He tried to push through the police and firemen but to no avail. He felt so helpless and broken at the sight. He sobbed, hiccuping while putting his hands to his face. Taehyung and Hoseok tried to comfort Jin, assuring him that Namjoon will be fine.
When Jin looked up he saw the body of his beloved boyfriend. He demanded that he shall go with Namjoon in the ambulance. Surprisingly, they let him go. And there he was in all his glory, body covered with blood and wounds.

When Namjoon got into the ER, they wouldn't let Jin pass. They had to get security to help them. Soon, his friends arrived to comfort him while Jin broke down once again, not bearing the idea of losing the love of his life.

When Jin heard the news, he couldn't take it. "Doctor, there has to be something else right? He can't be dead right? Please tell me that he's alive and well.. " Jin's eyes watered, stuttering while he hysterically spoke, hoping he was hearing things wrong.
"I-I can't bear the idea of l-losing him.. He's the very reason I'm happy D-doctor.. "
"Apparently, there is no more hope in having him back.. He's dead sir. Please try to understand. It was far too late to save him. "
Everyone else had put on a reassuring face of a sad smile but each and every one of them were breaking down mentally. Jin was the only one crying, not wanting to believe what he had heard.

It has been a month after Namjoon's death. They had all moved on by now, but occasionally hurting while Jin.. Jin has been hiding in his room, denying access to all conversations and entrances to his room. He hasn't been eating and drinking water, leaving all the members in pain.
They haven't ever seen him like this for an entire month. Usually he would give in the next or few days, but this has gone too far. It's a miracle he's even alive at this point. He's been in the hospital quite a few times already. He has tried killing himself but someone always stopped him before he could.
He can't escape the fire that burns for Namjoon. And he will never be able to end it all.
