They arrived at Courtivia's house and Olivia was still asleep. Shayne was the first to leave the car, then Noah and Keith. Courtney climbed in the back and admired how adorable Olivia was as she slept.
"I wonder what you're dreaming about." She smiled, stroking Olivia's dark brown hair. It looked jet black in the lighting.
In a burst of force, Olivia bolted up, screaming. "COURTNEY!!!"
Courtney was so appalled, she couldn't even give a response. Olivia looked at Courtney and hugged her tightly.
"That dream... I fell..." She whispered. Her voice trembled in fear and her muscles were weak. She began to cry.
"Olivia, what are you talking about?" Courtney asked.
"I had the nightmare that you had. The helicopter and the water... It was so vivid."
"It's okay, Olivia. It's just a bad dream..."
Olivia pushed herself out of the hug. "What if it's not?"
"...Olivia, I thi-
" What if it's predicting the future? ...our future!"
"Olivia, please stop talking like that!" Courtney pleaded.
"You guys comin' in or are we just gonna wait outside?" Shayne yelled from the porch.
"In a minute, Shanye!" Courtney jokingly responded.
"Don't take too long, Cockney!" Shayne shot back.
Courtney laughed and looked at Olivia who was trying to look, in the slightest bit, okay.
"It'll be fine, babe." Courtney kissed Olivia and opened the door. "Whatever we go through, we'll go through together... Always!" Courtney climbed out of the car.
As Olivia watched Courtney walk toward the door, she noticed someone in the rearview mirror. It was a dark, unfamiliar figure that was gone in a flash. She quickly left the car and ran to the others. She gave Courtney a forceful side hug and a kiss on the cheek.
She felt safe in Courtney's presence, but even safer holding her.
LATER...
They all sat around the house, bored out of their minds. They hadn't really planned anything for when they got there.
Olivia walked into the living room where the rest of the squad sat. "Do you guys think I'm crazy?" She asked.
Courtney was the first to respond. "Of course not! You're-
"Extremely insane!" Shayne cut her off.
"Dude!" Courtney slapped his arm.
"I'm sorry, Olivia. What I meant to say was..." Shayne got up and walked over to Olivia. "There's a switch in your brain that you keep accidentally flipping, making your actions quite bizzare and unpredictable."
"...So, you're sayin'...like, I'm a fuckin' robot or somethin'?"
Everybody laughed and Olivia stood there, waiting for an answer.
"Actually, yeah. You're kinda like a robot, Olivia." Shayne stated.
"Cool!" Olivia smiled.
UPSTAIRS: OLIVIA'S POV...
I'm glad I asked that question. Now, I know that they don't think I'm crazy and they're not sitting in silence anymore.
My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took a look at what it was. Someone was calling me. I was hesitant at first, but I still answered it.
Olivia!
Who is this?
No need for an introduction, Olivia. I'll answer all your questions when we meet.
Which we won't!
I hung up and continued to our room. I closed the curtains and locked the windows."What the hell?????" I thought to myself.
I sat on the floor and pulled the bedsheets over my body. Courtney opened the door and saw me.
"Olivia, why are you on the floor?"
I didn't respond...
She knelt in front of me and pulled the sheets from over my head. "Baby, what's wrong?"
I sighed. "I just got a random call from I don't know who... And I can't think at the time, because I'm paranoid!"
"Why are you paranoid? It was probably a prank call."
"Yeah, but... they knew my name and... outside, I thought I saw-
Before I could finish, a rock came crashing through the window. We screamed, but mine was more intense. Courtney held me as tight as she could.
"Get back here!" I heard Shayne's voice outside.
"What the fuck just happened?" Noah asked when he got up to our room.
"Where are Keith and Shayne?" Courtney asked.
"I think they're chasing someone!"
SHAYNE'S POV...
Damn, this guy's got energy for days. Keith and I chased him far!
He cut through an alleyway and he stopped. He must've thought I couldn't see him, because he had on all black. I did! And I tackled him.
We wrestled for a bit and Keith finally showed up, there were two police officers with him. I got up, breathless and tired.
"Good job, Topp!" An officer with a southern accent patted me on the shoulder as he walked by.
"How do you...know...my name?" I said through breathless pauses.
"You're famous, aren't you?"
"...Not that famous..."
"You were on The Goldman's."
"Goldberg's!"
He handcuffed the guy. "Yeah whatever. My daughter watches it. She always tells me her boyfriend's on the show. I think she's got a celebrity cush."
Is he talking about who I think he's talking about? "What's her name?" I asked.
He handed the guy over to the other cop, so we could talk. "Her name's Courtney, you know her?"
I could hear Keith trying not to bust out in laughter.
I turned around and smiled, then looked back at the officer. "Uhhh..."
"Ryan, I need ya back here, man!" The other cop yelled from the car.
"I'm comin'!" He yelled back. "This conversation is not over!" He said in a stern voice. "I'll see ya around, man."
I waved as he ran back to the car. "Yeah, I'll see you around...father..."
"What?"
"I said "I'll see ya, officer!""
Keith couldn't hold in his laughter, he was on the ground rolling as the cops drove off.
"I'll see you around, father!" Keith laughed.
I laughed a bit too. She didn't tell me her dad was a cop...
Back at the house...
The police showed up to the girls' house too. Olivia told them about the call. And It turns out that the rock the guy threw had a note on it.
It was a picture actually. A picture of two people hanging by their necks from a bridge with $2,000,000 on the top of it. It was honestly unsettling. It was a bounty on Courtivia...
