The next evening: Courtney's POV...
As Olivia brought in her last bag of clothes, I couldn't help but to feel so sorry for her. She just got dumped and kicked out.
"I got it" I quietly said, taking the heavy bag from her hands.
"Thank you..." She responded in a low tone that worried me.
I softly rubbed her back. "It's okay, Olivia. I'ma make your life ten times better."
She slowly looked at me with a sad face. I took her clothes to my room and sat the bag on the floor. Then I walked out and grabbed my keys.
"I'm gonna go grab some food, babe. Do you want anything specific?" I asked Olivia as I opened the front door.
"A McChicken..."
"Gotcha!"
"Hurry back!" She said to me, just before a I closed the door.
LATER: AT MCDONALD'S...
Courtney had already ordered her food and was about to leave until she saw Shayne.
"Hey, Shayne, what're you doing here?" Courtney asked as she walked up to him.
Shayne turned around and smiled. "Oh, this is where I go to do my taxes." He sarcastically said.
"Arlight, asshole!" Courtney smiled.
Shayne laughed and the lady over the counter called him for his order. He took his food and sat down.
"How's Olivia been? She's been acting pretty bummed lately." Shayne asked, taking a sip of his drink.
"She's fine..." Courtney lied. She didn't want anyone worrying about Olivia. "She's probably just sick or something."
"Oh... Hey, did you see her new video? The comments are all Courtivia!"
Courtney proudly smiled, Shayne knew how much she loved Courtivia and its shippers.
Shayne continued. "Yeah, people are really starting to talk about Courtivia since they think you're bisexual too!"
"I am bisexual!" She said, making Shayne go completely silent.
"😐...Well, I feel stupid." He said, getting up from his seat. "I'm gonna just leave." He grabbed his food walked out of the restaurant and Courtney bursted into a fit of laughter.
She also walked out and watched Shayne pull of making the straightest face possible. Courtney checked her phone and noticed that she had been gone for quite a while.
"Hurry back!" Olivia's voice echoed through her head.
"Shit!" She cursed as she began to speed walk. "Why didn't I bring my car?"
Courtney took her phone from her pocket and randomly cursed again and called Olivia.
Hey, Olivia, I'm sorry about the-
It's okay, Courtney... can you just hand me my food?
Courtney was confused. She glanced up and saw Olivia, she was wearing a black hoodie with her hair covering her face. Courtney screamed and Olivia grabbed her food.
"Sorry about that." She blandly spoke.
Courtney continued to walk and tried to catch her breath. "Olivia, what the hell?"
Olivia threw the McDonald's bag on the ground, tore off the sandwich wrapper, and took a bite of her chicken sandwich. "I wanted to make sure didn't get kidnapped or anything." She balled up the wrapper and threw that down too.
Courtney picked up the wrapper, along with the paper bag Olivia dropped. "Ya know, you shouldn't litter, Olivia. It's bad for the ocean's creatures."
Olivia didn't respond, she just silently kept walking. Courtney felt a bit sad that she couldn't cheer her friend up, but she knew something Olivia couldn't resist doing with her. She began humming the opening to Love Me Like You Do.
"You're the light, you're the night
you're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
you're the only thing I wanna touch...""Come on, Olivia! Never knew that it could mean so much...so much." Courtney continued to sing, dancing around Olivia until she got to the chorus.
"So love me like you do lo-lo-love me like you do, love me like you do lo-lo-love me like you do..." Olivia sang.
"Touch me like you do to-to-touch me like you do... Olivia!"
"What are you waiting for?" Shayne sang, rolling up right next to them. "You two need a ride?" He asked as he unlocked his doors.
The girls got into Shayne's car and continued their song.
OLIVIA'S POV...
Shayne and I stopped singing halfway through the ride to listen to Courtney, her voice is amazing!
"Wow, Courtney! I didn't know you could sing." Shayne said after she finished the song.
Courtney shyly smiled and her cheeks lit up. "I didn't know you guys stopped singing." She said, making me grin.
"You should totally be a singer." I suggested.
"If she does, you'll have to do backup, Olivia. You can those high notes real good." Shayne added.
"We'd be Courtivia Millui!" I excitingly blurted out. "...but I'll have to tell everyone that it's pronounced "mill-way"."
They both laughed at my comment.
Shayne stopped his car in front of Courtn-OUR house. We thanked him and told him goodnight.
When we got back inside, I brushed my teeth, changed into my pj's, and went to bed. After a while, I noticed that Courtney hadn't come to bed yet. I went into the living room and saw Courtney lying on the couch.
"What're you doing?" I asked, standing at the end of the couch.
"I'm watching Family Guy." She innocently replied.
"You aren't gonna sleep with me?"
"...uh..."
I took her hand and dragged her back to our bedroom. "You weren't possibility thinking we'd be sleeping in different beds, did you?"
I lied down on the bed and Courtney lied behind me. I wrapped her arms around me and held them together with my hands. I felt so warm in Courtney's arms.
"You were right, my life already feels ten times better..." I waited for a response but soon realized that Courtney had already fallen asleep.
It's like she just passed out...
