Worlds Colliding: Catachlysm

                 The General looked to the Captain with a frown on his face. The dark room their were in was made polished shiny marble. The walls were decorated with paintings and weaponry. The Generals office, had a demanding aura. Joseph, The captain was nervous, as if the room was watching him. The wallpaper was dark Crimson and gold, the colors of the Andrean flag. The griffin emblem was on the left side of the wall. Griffins were considered sacred animals in Andrea.

                  "An alarming number of gates has been opening, captain" Said The General looking at Joseph with a hard stare.      "But sir, Doesn't that happen all the time?" Joseph asked gently.

                    The general adjusted his uniform, glowing with golden medals. The dark Crimson seemed black in the dark lit room. His goat was well brushed, and his long hair was kept in a bun. His bar grey hard eyes stared at him with no hesitation.
             "It does happen all the time, except, that this time, they all open in earth." He looked at the Captain expectantly.
"Do you think that-" The Captain was cut off by the generals forward "yes."
                "Seren?" Another yes.
              Seren Was a psychotic criminal that literally wanted to watch the word burn. He almost flooded Kenja, Andreas sister country. He's wanted in every country except for Antica. But, to be fair, Anitca is considered the country of criminals.
                 "I want you to investigate, There's a large gate open in Kandra. I want you to go there, and if you see Seren, Kill him."

                He said it as if he was just describing the day's weather. Everyone knows about his past with Seren. It was the reason he joined the military when he turned eighteen. They were rivals. Mostly because they lived in the same town as kids, and Seren was somewhat of a bully. The General had a brother named George.  Were bullied by Seren for a long while.

              One day, the General, or Thomas, as he hadn't had a rank then, attempted to protect George by punching Seren.
Seren was bigger, stronger, and older. He nicked Thomas out and George too, he dragged them to a cliff by the town, and for some incredibly cruel reason, he woke them up, then promptly threw George of the cliff, George died of internal bleeding. The guards saw what had happened and arrested Seren before he could do anything else. Saving Thomas.

              Joseph knew why he wanted him dead, and it was the generals great displeasure he couldn't do it himself, with everything going on, he was required to stay in Andrea.

              "Yes sir." Replied Joseph, he didn't argue for two reasons, first, he didn't want to force Thomas into revering that awful moment, and a direct order from the general usually would mean death if he said no.

             "I know your scared, considering all the people that he's killed. But your one of our best guys, and you can sense magic, so you'll have no trouble finding the gate. I'm sorry Joseph. I'd do if I could."

             "I understand sir." Joseph replied grimly.
"Now leave, you need a good nights rest for the journey ahead."
