Ch. 28 "Back to Luca"

As Gemma got back to Vegas the first thought was Luca. She missed her little boy after all it had been over two days sense she's seen him. Your thinking two days big deal but out of there years these were the first two days that she had never laid eye on him. Luca meant more to Gemma than anyone would ever understand.

She really admired Nico for the way he excepted him into his life. Nico had went from living by himself to living with a three year old and he was so casual and never complained.

"Hey he's okay. We will go see him right when we get off this plane okay?" Nico said nudging Gemma pulling her from her thoughts. Gemma nod her head and just waited for the flight to end.

Nico had just put the car in park after rolling into Renzo's driveway and Gemma was already half way out of the car and on a mission to see her little boy. Renzo has opened the door and she followed voice into the Kitchen where Luca was sitting on a bar stool talking to Emily.

Gemma snuck up behind the boy and wrapped her arms around his waist excited to see him. Luca shifted in her grip turning around to see her.

"Mommy!!!!! Oh I missed you!" Luca yelled as he wrapped himself around her earning a laugh from everyone in the house.

"I missed you to baby!"

As Luca continued to cling to Gemma Renzo greats his wife with a kiss pulling her swollen pregnant belly to his side. Nico stood leaning against the wall watching the two people he began to care so much about. Gemma peppered kisses all over Lucas face as he pulled back from her neck.

"I'm glad your finally home. Would you guys like dinner?" Emily asked once everyone was settled.

Gemma and Emily started to make dinner with Luca sitting on the kitchen counter not wanting to leave Gemma right when she got home. He was afraid that she might disappear and he didn't want that. They all had a nice quite dinner just enjoying one another's company. After Dinner Nico, Luca, and Gemma had piled into the car ready to go home.

Once home Luca had got cleaned up and ready for bed. Luca fell asleep to Gemma running her hands through his hair letting his body relax. Gemma then got a shower for herself changing into silk sleeping shorts and a thin tank top once clean. She walked to Nico's room seeing light from the doorway. Gemma knocked and pushed the door lightly finding Nico shirtless just pulling up his sweat pants.

Gemma's eyes lingered over the broad shoulders and tones chest that lead to still slightly damp but defined obliques. As her eyes lingered Nico smirked turning completely to her to let her eyes freely roam.

"Can we talk?" Gemma asked looking around the room making sure he wasn't going to do something important. Nico nodded his head walking over to the bed.

"So how did you know I was in New York?"

"Luis and Angelo injected a tracker in you before Costa took you."

"Thank you for coming to get me... Those things you said before I left. Did you mean them?"

"No. Did you mean them?"

"Well I've never had anyone but my family so I don't really know if this is considered love. I definitely have some feelings about you."

"I just want to thank you for everything you've done for Luca and I. I understand that you have done all of that to keep up safe and I really appreciate it."

"No problem. I really care about you guys. I think those feelings are mutual."

"Can we just try to start whatever this is over again? Like actually start trying to have a relationship or something?" Nico nodded his head opening up his arms as Gemma slipped into them. He held her close leaving a soft kiss to her temple.
