Silence filled me, I knew that I felt that something was missing inside me, like.. a part of me was some where else. I had to find it, but I didn't know what it was. I was told at a young age, that my father was divorced from my mother and that I was an only child. But, I had my doubts in my heart for some reason. I tried to ask nurse maids, servants around me as I grew, if them knowing anything from my birth. Yet, they would stare at me with a frown, looking as if they would cry. So, it didn't stop me from looking. I would sneak into my mother's room, trying to look for clues, but I would find nothing. So, now that I am in my third year of middle school, I am growing more and more desperate. I can't look at my friends in the eyes, as I would slowly become distant from them. I would suddenly be alone, sitting by the window, staring into the cloudy sky. As the days went by, I felt my heart cold, shriveled, as if it was dead. My times of searching.. were done..
"U-um, K-Kaoru?" a voice rang to me, as my eyes slowly turned, seeing a young girl with brunette hair. Her face was red, as she was glancing up at me from the floor ever once and a while. "Yes? What is it?" I questioned, slowly turning to her, giving her my attention. "W-we are preparing our last party of the school year.. I-I was wondering if you had any ideas? Or if you wanted to just hang out by the water fountain?" Staring at her, knowing that she was trying her best to ask me out. Even though she was cute, I have to admit, but.. my heart didn't feel anything. Yet, I don't want her to be hurt. "Well, I would say that we could go to the water fountain, or.." I smiled a bit devilishly, standing and walking up to her, placing my hand under her chin. I lifted her head up to look at me, as I stared into her hazel eyes, "Would you like to be with me alone, at my place that night?" I teased her, as her face exploded red. She was lost for words, as her hands were holding onto her chest. "W-well, I-I, um, would like to be alone with you, b-but.. I don't think that I would go that far, K-Kaoru. I-I think being at the water fountain is g-good enough." she stuttered, as I smiled, with a little laugh. Slowly taking my hand back, "Very well. I will meet you there then." I replied, slowly walking past her, out of the room. She fell to her knees, watching me leave.
After leaving from her sight, my smirk fell, as I went down the hall. "My, my, you sure have some talent, Mr. Hitachiin." a chime rang again to me. A voice that I didn't know. Turning my head, I saw a blonde male, with violet eyes. He looked like one of those idiot High schoolers that want to skip class. I rose a brow, standing in place, my hands in my pockets, staring at him. "What? Why are you in my school and who are you?" I asked, as he walked up to me, taking my hands, holding them close to his chest, making me lean back, sweating nervously. "I shall never forget your talent~" "Talent? What? You didn't answer me." I questioned once again, before he started to drag me down the hall. "H-hey! Let me go!" I shouted, as he blabbered on, "I must speak with you! It is very important!~" Blinking a few times, I sighed, as he lead me to the water fountain outside. We sat there, as I had my arms and legs crossed, looking at him sternly. "Answer me. Now." I stated, as he stood, doing some weird poses, with imaginary sparkles around him, "Oh my~ My manners seemed to have fled when I was stunned with your gentle, seductive, talent~" "Gentle Seductive Talent?" I muttered to myself, as he kept going on, "Oh, how you have moved me so, knowing at how you remind me of someone else I know~" he kept on going. "I, Tamaki Souh, is a member of the Ouran High School Host Club. I have come to see if you would be able to want to j-" he stated, as I stood, walking away, "Now way. Hosting is not my thing. Not to be rude, but you are an idiot and I have to go back to class." Tamaki gasped, turning in my way, pointing at me, "Hey! Get back here! I am not done talking to you!!" he shouted, as I replied, "Well, I am. See ya'" He growled, as I walked back inside, to my class, as the bell rang for the class to start.
Not long later, as school had ended, I was walking out to go home. But, as I reached my limo, that same idiot's voice screamed to me, "Kaoru Hitachiin! Get over here this instant!!" I jumped a bit in surprise, turning around, sweating. "W-what? Has he been here the entire day?" I asked myself, before quickly jumping into the car. The blonde was running up, closer and closer, as I shouted, "Home! Now!" The driver nodded, as we sped off. I watched, seeing that blonde jumping and screaming. Turning around, I slumped back into my seat, pulling out a book. I can't believe he asked me to be in a host club at Ouran. I dont even know him! Is he some kind of idiot?! Turning a page in my book, I looked out the window, "Yet.. Maybe it wont be a bad idea to go. I mean, he said he wasn't done talking to me. Is it so bad to at least listen to see what reason he has for asking me?" Looking back at my book, I sighed, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to see why." I muttered, as I continued to read, till I got home.
Walking out of my limo, into my home, I was greated, "Welcome home, young master~" "Thank you." I replied, as a maid smiled, "Your mother would like to speak with you in her office." I blinked a few times, as I nodded, "Thank you for telling me." Walking up the stairs, down the halls, I glanced around, seeing the portraits hanging on the wall of me and my mother. I love her, yet something feels off every time I look at them. Standing at the door to my mother's office, I knocked twice, as she asked, "Whom is it?" "It's Kaoru, mother." I replied back, as she responded, "Come in." I slowly opened the door, stepping inside and closing the door behind me. "You needed to speak with me?" I asked, as I stood by the door. She nodded, gesturing me to the seat infront of her desk. I walked up, setting my bag on the ground, before sitting down, with my hands in my lap. I waited patiently, as she stood, walking up to me. "I am sorry." she responded immediately, as I blinked a few times, tilting my head confused. "For what?" I asked, as she started to cry, "I have been lying to you! And I know you have been looking through my things all these years as you grew up! But, I couldn't let you know!" I stood, holding her close, "W-what? Hiding what?" "I didn't know how to tell you when you were young. So I waited till you were about to go to high school." she sniffed, wiping her tears, looking at me in the eyes. It was silent, as we stared at each other, before she continued. "You.. have an older twin brother. His name is Hikaru." I blinked a few times, before took a step back, my heart felt as if it sunk. "W-what?" I asked as she turned around to her desk, grabbing a photo. "H-here. Look. This is the photo that you have seen before, but it's the original. The one you have seen before was photo shopped." I took the small frame, staring at the small image that had my mother holding two boys. She was in her hospital gown, as the two blanket around the newborns were different colors. One was orange, the other was blue. "M-my baby blanket.." I muttered, my hands shaking, as one of my hands was lifted, petting the other newborn's face. But, I jumped in shock as I noticed a tear drop onto the frame. Blinking a few times, I finally realized, I was the one who was crying now. But the tears wouldn't stop, no matter how much I rubbed them away. "Oh, sweetheart, please don't cry.. I'm sorry. I didn't know how to tell you. I'm sorry." I was silent. I didn't know how to take this. I was stepping away from my mother, as I stared at the photo. "K-Kaoru, sweetheart..?" "D-does he even know?" I asked, as my mother was giving me a confused look. "Does HE even know?" I asked again, as she looked at the floor. "No. Your father said that he would never tell Hikaru. Yet, I am uncertain. He might have been looking around in that house, like you have. But, I do not know." Taking a deep breath, before exhaling, "Do you know what high school he is going to next year?" I asked, as she nodded, "I always have known what schools he has been in." "W-what?" I asked, as she continued, "How else did you expect to not see him? We had to make a deal, to not let you two meet in any school. Other wise.. Hikaru and his father would move away from here, not speaking to us again." "I-I see.." I muttered, as I walked up to her, "Sign me up to the high school he is going to for next year." I said sternly. Yet, she looked at me with sad eyes, "I can't Kaoru. It's part of the dea-" "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT DAMN DEAL!! HE IS MY BROTHER AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO SEE HIM!!" I shouted back at her, as she was shocked for a moment, before glaring back. "I told you no. And you will do as I say young man." "Tch," I sneered, turning away, and grabbing my bag. "You will be attending Ouran public High school." she said, as I looked back at her, glaring. "I will choose what school I will be going to." "Kaoru! You will not! You will do as I say!" Without speaking, I stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me. Walking into my room, slamming the door, I dropped my bag, as I ran up to my bed crying.
