Third Wheeling

Summer

   Ah. Summer time. An excuse to skip school and party. Of course, my summer was mostly hanging out with my best friend, Selena, ruining  each other's houses. Quite honestly, it was a blast. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful person in my life!
   Now, summers coming to an end. Today I'm going to go to the mall with my best friend and a really nice friend- her moms taking us, it's going to be really fun. I can't wait.
  
   "Hey Amy." My friend, Michelle says. "Hey Michelle." I say as I climb into her moms car. We drive to Selena's house, and pick her up. "Hi Selena!" Michelle smiles. "Hey Michelle." Sel smiles back as she sits next to me. "Hey Sel, what's up?" I ask. "Nothing much Ames, you?" Sel elbows me sarcastically.
   Michelle's mom lets us go on the skytrain to Skyfalls Mall, Skyfalls is right outside of Caraya.
   "Ready?" I say happily. All four of us walk into the mall and look around. "You know, I've never been to build-a-bear." I say as we walk by build-a-bear. "Wait, WHAT?" Selena says abruptly. "You've never been to build-a-bear?" Michelle gasps. Right then, they pull me towards build-a-bear. As I'm being pulled into the store, I pass a sign; "buy one get one free".
   When I stop laughing, I ask if anyone wants to do the sale with me. Michelle says yes. We get our bears made, and work our way to the birth certificate area. We sit down and think about names. Michelle and Selena pick the names Charles and Chris. They tell me to name my bear Cuddles, which I found stupid so I say no. I name my bear after my dog who passed away, Nora.
   We start looking for clothes. Michelle and Selena pick out matching outfits. There isn't enough clothes for me to twin with them. I pick out a red shirt and glasses, the helmet the other girls got don't go with Nora's outfit. Whatever, not a big deal, right?
   "Michelle, cmon we have to pay now." I nod towards the cash register. "Ummm..." She avoids me and gets closer to Selena. "I'm paying with her." Michelle says. "Wow, Michelle." I barely get out. What the hell was that?
  
   After the mall trip, I have to go straight home. Sel goes over to Michelle's house. I put away all my stuff and go to bed early.
   I still can't believe Michelle ditched me last minute! She probably only did what she did because their bears were wearing the same outfit. But wait a second, they took the last two pairs of pants, what's going on? Nah, I'm just reading too much into things, it was just a stupid bear, you're thirteen Amelia you should grow up.
