you stopped.

you stared.

you admired.

you wished it was everyday that he was like this. in his full outfit, full costume.

kim taehyung was known in your school as a fashionista. he was blonde, beautiful, incredibly trendy and fashionable, and he pulled anything off. girls weren't sure whether to be jealous of him or beg for his secrets; to which he would always just say: "fashion is universal. i can't tell you how to be you." everyone admired his coolness. but of course, kim taehyung seemed too good to be true, which was why everyone assumed that he was gay.

which was also why you had to stop crushing on him so badly.

but there was something about him. his dress sense was just the beginning. from his bubbly personality to his perfectly sculpted looks, he was everything. however there was one thing that never failed to get you in that one spot in your heart. it would pang you. right. there.

his hats.

every day was different. he never wore the same hat in a row or more than once in a week. only once a week, preferably once a month, according to taehyung himself. "repetitiveness is boring. and i am not boring," he would say. and he wasn't. he was the complete opposite. your school had one day per term in which the students would come to class wearing everything except their uniform. usually to raise money but sometimes just for tradition's sake.

those days were the best days. kim taehyung would enter the school gates, clad fully in gucci. you didn't know how he did it. how he kept the fabric so clean throughout the day. how he put absurd things together and made them look non-ridiculous. how he afforded all of it.

well, that one was obvious. his parents were rich. rich.

but on normal school days, he wore what he could get away with without breaking the school's dress code. which was always: a hat.

yesterday, he had worn a beanie. an adorable, pink beanie. you were amazed at how he didn't try to protect his masculinity, how he wasn't afraid of the macho boys coming up to him and making fun of him. in fact, he was always the one making fun of them, surprisingly enough.

recently, kim taehyung was throwing berets into the mix. although it was just breaking your heart even more, every time you saw him walking around with that gay thing on, it was mending it right back up again because of how stylish of a sight it was. his style was great and his face was great. his face was great and his collarbones were great. his collarbones were great and his tall stature was great. his tall stature was great and his clean, smooth, long fingers were extravagant.

so here you were, at the back of your english class, staring at the front of his red snapback and his blue bomber jacket with its red collar. today was one of those days, a day when kim taehyung would dress at his finest. a day without uniform. those were the days you looked forward to the most during the school year.

his black leather backpack was set to the left of his expensive looking sneakers, you had no clue what brand, or style for that matter, because you were already looking at his long, extended legs in black skinny jeans. there was something about kim taehyung wearing regular old jeans that made you happy. that even the most fashionable people wore what you wore. plus, you loved they way they looked on him, fitting him in all the right places. he was further forward in the classroom's seating plan than you so you couldn't see today's choice of shirt. but that was fine because his vibrant jacket was enough for your imagination to dream something up. and the snapback. you had no clue what it was but you loved hats. well, more so when a person was wearing a hat. maybe it was something to do with how they frame one's face. how they add a bit of oomph to their getup.
