Twenty Eight; 달리기 (Run)

- Hara pov -

I run as fast as I can from him.

The only thing that I can rely on is the stick that I hold.

Tripping so many times but gained back my strength just to run away from him.

"Jeon Hara! Come back here !"

He growled and I shouted for help.

"Don't go near me !"

I shouted and fall again.

"Aww"

Maybe this time worse.

I held my knee and groaned in pain.

I heard he muttered.

"I told you not to run away right ?"

"Please don't touch me"

I begged to him and rubbed my palms together.

"I-I'm sorry if I do anything wrong. Don't make me suffer again. Please"

He held my arms but I pushed him away.

"Hara, did I scared you this much ?"

"Yes! Since you raped me for the first time !"

I searched for my stick back and maybe he found it first because he gave me after.

"Let's just let me explain Hara"

I stand up and tried to walk but fall again.

"You're hurting hara. Let me help you"

"No, you would hurt me again"

I shook my head repeatedly but yelped when he carried me bridal style.

"Please Miseok! Don't do anything !"

I shouted and struggled to get out of his grip.

"I won't do anything okay! I will send you to your house"

He raised his voice and I shut my mouth as I tried to hold back my tears.

He told me to get in the car and I do it before he closed the door.

I heard that he's started the engine and I stayed silent the whole ride.

"I'm really sorry Hara"

"Please don't say anything. I'm tired to hear your explanation"

He sighed and held my hand but I flinched.

"I told you not to touch me right !"

I shouted and moved away from him.

The whole ride filled with an awkward silence.

I can felt that the car stopping.

He opened my door and held my arm which this time I allowed him.

He knocked on the door a few times before I heard the footsteps coming.

"Who is -- what are you doing here ?! And why's Hara with you ?"

I can felt that he pulled me towards him and hugged me tightly.

"I'm scared of him"

I mumble and he stroked my hair softly.

"I'm here okay? Don't worry"

He pecked my forehead and let me buried my face on his chest.

"What are you doing to her ?"

"I swear I didn't do anything. I just called her name and she immediately ran away from me"

"Because she doesn't want to be near you! Because of you, she loses her sight. Are you satisfied now? I swear that I'm gonna put you in the jail"

"Please I begged to you. I really regret it because I did that. I just love her so much and because she rejected me, I want to make her feel the pain that I feel"

"But you're already making her suffering since you touched her. Now stay away or not I'm gonna call the police"

I held tightly on his shirt as my tears keep flowing down.

He closed the door and cupped my face instantly.

- Vernon pov -

"Are you okay ?"

"M-My knees"

She stuttered and I looked at her knees.

"It's bleeding"

I mumble and dragged her to the bathroom.

"I'm gonna clean up the blood okay? If it's hurt tell me"

She nodded slowly and I put the alcohol on the cotton.

I pressed it softly on her knee as she winced in pain.

"Wait for a while okay? Almost done"

I muttered and put the bandages around each one of her knees.

"Okay. Feel better ?"

I helped her to stand up as she let out a small yes.

"Now you're gonna explain to me why are you going out alone"

"I-i'm sorry for that"

I held her hand and bring her to my room.

"Firstly, I never thought that Miseok will find me because I thought that he'll run away after what he did to me. But he's still here. Secondly, I don't want you guys to follow because I know that you're busy so I went out alone"

She keeps her head down as she explains the whole thing to me.

"I'm sorry hansol"

I crouched down in front of her and caressing her face.

"Yeah noona. We're sorry if we don't have time for you"

"I understand that and I don't want to trouble you guys. Besides, I'm almost officially 20 years old"

She chuckled and I shook my head.

"It's 2 December right ?"

She nodded her head and I pecked her plump lips.

"Forget about what happened today but I don't know what to answer Seungcheol hyung if he asked about you later"

"Fine. I will handle that"

- Hara pov - 

"So yeah that's it. I'm pretty sure we can win this case with all the proofs that we have and I hope you guys can trust me on this" Mr. Min explained while I just nodded agreeing with him.

"When you will meet him and give the notice?" Seokmin asked him with his sweet yet serious voice.

"Probably on Wednesday? Because I need approval from my boss and I will meet him as soon as possible. This is his workplace right?"

"Yes, it is. I hope you can help us this time, Mr. Min"

"I will. I have to go now and we'll meet on Friday later?"

"Alright, see you later" We all walked to the door and bidding a goodbye before someone close the door. I can feel someone grabbed my hands and pulled me into a hug. 

"We will be okay"
