Another old, short one! (Modern au this time!)
From the moment Natasha had first seen Hélène, felt butterflies around in her stomach. Hélène couldn't say that she didn't feel the same, but she wouldn't be the first to admit it. Natasha tried as hard as she could to spend time with Hélène and her efforts were not going unnoticed. Hélène could tell that the other girl was infatuated, but she couldn't give up her bad reputation to be with a girl who was considered so young and innocent by so many people. Days went by, then weeks, months, and it almost got to a year before Hélène cracked.
They had been walking through a park with Hélène's brother and a couple of his friends, when Hélène pulled Natasha off to the side. "Tasha, do you wanna grab dinner sometime?" she asked, sighing to herself. Natasha grew flustered, not expecting this question.
"Like? Like a date? As a couple? A date?" She stammered, her face growing hot. When Hélène said yes, she buried her face in her hands and continued to blush as Hélène smirked and went to catch up the the boys.
The plans had been arranged and Hélène was going to pick up Natasha at 6:00 on Friday evening for dinner at a cafe a couple towns over. Not super fancy, but not too casual either. Hélène knocked on the door, smoothing out a wrinkle in the dark green shirt she had paired with black leggings and stilletos. Natasha opened the door, and upon seeing Hélène, blushed. She wore a white dress with black last trim along the edges and black flats.
They got into the car, and Hélène turned the key. Nothing. She tried again, anx the engine sputtered, and then died. "Well shit. What are we gonna do now?" Hélène asked, exasperated. She was actually excited for this and now it was ruined.
"Well, we could get a pizza, put on a movie or something?" Natasha suggested, running her fingers through her hair. Hélène glanced at her and smiled.
"Yeah, I guess that's a good idea. A really good idea." They both rushed out of the car and ran giggling into the house. Natasha grabbed the phone and ordered a pizza, then flopped onto the couch with Helene, laughing and blushing.
