“Where are you _____?”
“Come to wonderland _____”
“Why don’t you join us for tea, _______?”
“A____….A____…..JOIN US _____!!”
I awoke drenched in a pool of sweat, my head was throbbing and a sickening taste was tickling the inside of my mouth, I felt brain-dead.
“_____! Are you awake _____ it’s time for breakfast, _____ are you ok?” I heard muffled footsteps strafe across the floor boards echoing around the hallway and stop hesitantly outside the room door before coming in.
Through a blurred haze I could make out the figure: a lightly built lady, small, light auburn hair with signs of greying and soft features- just like a grandma.
She rested her hand on me; it was warm and comforting “do you remember your name _____?”
“What did you say…?”
“I asked if you remember your name?” she smiled innocently
“My..name? My name is-” a loud bang cut me off followed by a shrill scream that descended into crying, the lady rose and cursed under her breath before disappearing through the door
“That was..strange…” I mumbled as I fell back into slumber
“_____, do you know your name?”
“It’s a very important name you see”
“Important indeed for it is all you need”
“Ah yes, that and tea, would you like some tea?”
“She can’t have any now, not yet, she needs no tea, because she has somewhere to be, don’t you _____?”
I awoke again and my eyes fell upon a young looking lady, she had golden blonde hair and these bright mesmerizing emerald eyes “Wakey, wakey sleepy head, how are you feeling today?” my mouth groggily tried to form words, but no sound was audible “you must still be tired, well I cooked breakfast and it’s on the dresser for you come down when you’re ready ok sweetie?” she kissed my forehead before silently leaving, my eyes closed and I drifted off again
“She’s spending an awful lot of time asleep, is that good? Does she need some tea?”
“You talk about tea can you not see that she has the key”
“You speak in riddles; I can never tell what you’re saying”
“Hehehe soon we shall be granted the boon”
"What a peculiar dream Ms Liddell and how long have they been present?"
I toyed with my fingers trying to sort through all the memories "about a week, but they have been getting weirder as the days go on"
"Interesting" the psychiatrist stroked his grey beard and scribbled something down in his note book "well it looks like the session is over, see you next week" I was dismissed and took the lift to the ground floor where my mother awaited me, Bright blonde Hair, lustrous emerald eyes, she was astounding.
"Mom!"
She sat up and walked towards me "are you alright sweetie?"
"Yea"
"Good" she nodded and embraced me "so tomorrow is your birthday, the big one-six, what do you want to do for it?"
"I don't really know to be honest, I guess I don't mind" I shifted uncomfortably on my feet as my mom embraced me
