PROMISE TO BE YOURS

CHAPTER 1

Raghav and Rudhi were having lunch when the manager came to meet them with a worried look. He took Raghav to a side and gave him some news "what. How did that happen, only my dad know that we are here and it cannot be him" "Sir have you seen the new papers this morning" "No why" "sir why don't you take the lady to the room while I send you a set of paper and some food" "forget the food just get me a set of papers and fast" He hurried with a "yes sir".

"What happened Raghav" "The press is here and wants to meet us" "Really, but why" and on a light not "is losing my virginity such big news" "Oh princess I hope it is that simple, come lets go to our room" on the way she leaned on to him "Raghav is it bad" "You are with me Rudhi and I will not allow anyone to hurt you but first lets go to the room, I want to have a look at today's papers". "what do you mean" and then they heard a big commotion outside. Raghav hurriedly pulled her out of the chair and raced towards the lift lobby. A staff was waiting for them. Raghav dismissed him and took a visibly shaken Rudhi to the room. He wrapped his arm around her "why are you so worried darling, you are with me and our parents know about us so why that look" Even that assurance could not take the fear off her face.

In minutes the staff came back with a stack of news papers. Three popular dailies carried a picture of Rudhi and Raghav in a compromising position on their front pages in colour. The seductive look on her face and his lips between her breast and shoulder said a lot. One daily read "The Singhania heir apparent enjoying a night out with the butlers daughter on her birthday", The second read "Was she a meal ticket to the Gupta family" The third was a Tabloid with a lurid head line " Was she hired in the cradle to keep the Singhania crown prince happy" Rudhi stood in utter shock and from the corner of his eyes saw her leaning away. He grabbed her before she could hit the floor and carried her to the bed. He dialed the room service and screamed for a doctor and while waiting called his father. JRS said he just saw the news and was on his way. He insisted Raghav to worry about Rudhi while he checked what the hell was happening.

Raghav opened the door to the doctor. He examined a pale Rudhi and said she was going into shock. He asked some questions about her physical condition and then asked him to wipe her face with a wet cloth while he gave a mild sedative. Rudhi opened and looked around in a disoriented manner and her eyes filled up when she saw Raghav. He quickly moved to his side and took her in his arms "Shush princess, everything is going to be alright" "papa" is on the way and will kill me if you don't rest. He laid her back and took the doctor to the door. They discussed something gave his card and left with a promise to come immediately if necessary. Raghav came back to the bed and took a pale looking Rudhi in his arms "Rudhi" "Hmmm what happened princess why are you so worried" "Mamma is going to make a big issue about our night out" "I know but when she does we will meet her together" she was silent "okay" "okay" "Good girl" he paused for a long moment "I want an honest reply to my question" "okay" "Did you like what happened yesterday" she nodded yes "do you love me enough to marry me" she gave him a weary look "ok if that is the case there is nothing to worry about so take that sad and frightened look away from your face"

JRS landed on the helipad and directly rushed to meet the press. He refused to dance to their circus music but requested them to leave with a promise to arrange a press meeting in the near future. When one or two over smart journalists asked probing questions he reminded them to draft their questions keeping media ethics in mind. Once the press left he rushed to Raghav's room and rushed to Rudhi's bed side "Hey what happened to my princess" she only had a luke warm smile in reply. JRS was boiling inside when he saw Rudhi laid on bed with a pale forlorn look on her face. He knew how noisy and naughty she is. He made a silent promise to get to the bottom of this problem and have no mercy when took action against all involved.

As soon as Rudhi fell asleep JRS lead Raghav out so they could speak freely. "Dad the news papers" Legal is looking into it and rest assured I will take each one of these papers to the cleaners. Once I am done with them they will regret they even laid their eyes on my princess" "I don't even know what happened dad" "we were so happy and were planning to drive down to see you after lunch and this had to happen" "Raghav you need to calm down and be near Rudhi, leave the rest to me son, I will find out what happened and rest assured regardless who is involved I will get my revenge for hurting my little girl". Raghav did not want to leave Rudhi alone so peeped every now and then to keep an eye. She was sleeping after the mild sedative. When Rudhi woke up they were still in the hotel. Raghav helped Rudhi to change and then JRS led them to the helipad for their ride home. He did not want Rudhi to spend time alone in the apartment and right now he wanted his two children with him where he could keep them safe. JRS was calling people and throwing instructions to find out who tipped the press.

Gupta and Radhika were waiting for them but did not stop Rudhi when she went straight to her room. Raghav followed and helped her to bed. Before she could fall asleep he hugged her close "nothing and no one in this world can stop us princess, don't worry you head, just rest and only think of your up-coming exams" she only nodded yes but clung on to his body. He gently pulled her away and helped her to lye down and then covered her. He left the room only after she fell asleep.
