"Run!" I screamed. I shoved the door open and we bolted. No looking back now. Alex and I ran as fast as we could. Our house has a open field. A corn field or something.

Alex has more of a stronger body build then me. More tough and fierce. She was only 14 but she has a tattoo. It's the word "Blade" with barbed wire around the word and ankle.

We were only half way through the field, but I could feel my body wearing out. I had to keep moving. What if Jeremy saw us? What could happen? I kept moving. We are almost to the woods.

Not. Much. Farther...

"Where are those two little shits?! I'm gonna kill them both!"

'Fuck..' I thought to myself. I collapsed and started shaking in fear. My insides were screaming help but I could not talk.

**FLASHBACK**

It was only 8 am. I was five years old when it happened..Jeremy was drunk, and he was coming to my room. "Come here little slut" he said in a slurred tone. I was trembling in fear.

"Daddy no! Please don-" then he slapped me. "Don't you EVER tell me no again. Got it?" I was traumatised. "Y-y-yes daddy" "now be a good girl and get undressed.." "NO!!" I screeched in fear. "You little brat!" He slapped me again then kicks my side. He then ripped my clothes off and made me do stuff..

**END OF FLASHBACK**

I was sitting there holding my ribs. I look up now and Alex is reaching out to me. "We have no time to waste! Hurry!" She pulled me up "I-I can't" I refused "Yes you can! Now run!" I finally got up and ran. Just a few more yards.

We finally made it!

Alex's POV::

As we were running I heard his voice.

"Where are those two little shits?! I'm gonna kill them both!"

As his voice roared like thunder, Shy fell to the ground. I could tell she was having one of her flashbacks. My poor little sister. Traumatised. I couldn't touch her, or she could go on a rage.

All I did was hold my hand out and say "We have no time to waste! Hurry!" I was getting worried that Jeremy was going to catch us. "I-I can't" she said faintly and scared. I wasn't going to let her go now.

I said re-assuringly "Yes you can! Now run!" Shy got up an we ran. We were soon in the woods. "Shy, I think we should change our names for safety."

She looked at me and said in a soft quiet tone, "Iris." That was such a beautiful name. "Okay. Then mine will be Blade." Shy chuckled and said "badass" I agreed and suggested we look for shelter.
