HEATHER ZAIRE
"Hey Seraph! Over here!" I called. Seraph looked around blankly. Spotting me, she nodded at me and lazily strolled towards me, her signature fanged smirk playing around on her lips.
"Seraph, what's wrong?" I queried, raising an eyebrow. She seemed... a bit more... sadistic today. I could prove this right. I'd seen her twisting one of the bxtch's arms behind her back and breaking it, and then threaten her that if she said something, Seraph would personally come over and make her life a living hell.
"Uh...nothing much. Have you seen Kevin?" Seraph smiled mysteriously, midnight purple eyes twinkling.
"No, why?" I beseeched, my pale lavender eyes widening. "Natasha, with-"
"Most likely. Come, we'll put our things in the dormy first and then we'll go find them," grinned Seraph. Together, we made our way to the girls' dormitory. I looked round. Natasha's belongings were neatly placed at one side, with her pink perfume bottle and comb laid on the table, bedsheets already ironed out and folded perfectly, then spread out on her bed. She really had OCD. Being good friends, we chose beds side by side, along with Seraph.
Natasha's side of the room was painted a pretty pale pink with pure white flowers scattered across the wallpaper that had delicate green stems and leaves. Her teak bedside table had a tiny glass and ceramic lamp and her phone and purse. In the drawers, they held jewellery and some Ice Mountain water bottles, not to mention some make-up. Her bed was gilded in gold, the mattress was a luxurious silk and was coloured pale yellow. The bedsheets were also silk in a sky blue. Her pillows were filled with down and foam, in a velvet covering, and the bed had curtains that could be drawn, that were made of a pale peppermint green. A leather-bound trunk gilded in gold stored all of her shoes, and her books were in a teak bookshelf, her clothes similarly in a teak wardrobe. She was mainly extremely very rich, lady-like and luxurious.
My side of the room was painted a pastel blue and had cream white stripes running down. It was pretty simple, what with just an elm bedside table that held a cheap mirror, my phone, purse, and the lamp. In my drawers were just some empty notebooks and some filled notebooks, scrawled with stories and plots. My bookshelf was made of simple ashwood, and my wardrobe was simply just a plastic and light wood that I'd gotten from Ikea. Seraph always complained about it and kept offering to change it, but I found it troublesome to get a new one, so i kept telling her, "I'll think about it." I actually do want to change it, just that I was lazy. My bed was a simple one, with snow-white bedsheets that were made of microfiber cotton that added a touch of comfort, and yet Seraph had gone against my protests and had ordered a luxurious bed for me that would arrive in a few weeks , and she'd even speeded up the process by shouting into the phone and reducing the poor guy on the other end to a fearful gibbering mess. There was a honey-yellow mat, and no curtains.
Seraph's side of the room... It was dark and mysterious. It was painted a pure midnight black with some luminous silver paint splotched on as delicate stars. She had a strict "stay-out" rule sometimes, when she would draw the black silk curtains that she'd installed with the sterling silver railings, clearly marking out her side of the room. Her bedposts were made of aged mahogany and studded with diamond-reinforced onyx, and had another layer of curtains that were a shimmering silver. Her bedsheets were pure black, silk. Her pillows were stuffed with down and feathers, with silver silk covering. her bedside table was made out of red mahogany which was always clean. She probably kept everything in her drawers, except for her phone, and some sketchbooks, notebooks, pens and her lamp. However, apart from her lamp, everything was usually kept off her night table. Her mahogany wardrobe was studded with black sapphires and onyx. Her oak bookshelf was filled with books and stacked neatly. All in all, it radiated a badass aura.
Snickering about what Kevin had said to Natasha last term, we departed for the lost couple.
I narrowed my eyes. Somewhere along these corridors.
I could hear laughter enamating from one of the rooms. Seraph seemed as if she heard it too.
"In that room!" We both exclaimed, completely surprised by each other's outburst.
Well, I exclaimed and Seraph growled.
And, well, I was surprised, Seraph was just mildly shocked.
Advancing towards the door, we peered in.
NATASHA FEATHERS
Kevin was being so weird. His brown eyes played around me; I was nervous for a moment, then relaxed. He suddenly came close.
"Do I make you nervous?" Kevin questioned.
"Uh...what? Yes...um no. Wait, I..."I faltered under the dark gaze of him, making up my mind to examine my nails.
"I do. That's a start," replied Kevin, leaning back. Twirling an especially dark auburn curl, I tried - I repeat, tried - to be casual, sitting on a purple table top in an empty classroom. As if that wasn't romantic enough. Kevin smirked and put his hands in his jeans' pockets, shooting me teasing glances. My cheeks flushed. What was wrong with me? Was I falling for Kevin, a horrible player? I slapped myself mentally. We had been great friends for two whole years; why act up now? Stupid hormones.
HEATHER ZAIRE
"Hello," I greeted nonchalantly as I pushed the door open. Seraph snorted.
"Heath! Sera!" exclaimed Natasha, jumping off a table. Kevin greeted us with a shrug. Seraph and I exchanged glances.
"What on earth were you doing?" I asked, fighting back laughter.
"Flirting, perhaps?" A voice sounded near my ear. I spun round and grinned. Jon was smirking. Jack snorted and made his way to Kevin.
"So bro, how's life?"
JON LINKS
I caught Heather grinning at me, so I grinned back.
"Why you gotta be so rude,
Don't you know I'm human too,
Why-" I was interrupted while humming.
" Why you gotta be so rude,
I'm gonna marry her anyway..." Heather's voice trailed off with a small tinkle of laughter. I narrowed my eyes at her.
"It's Sunday tomorrow. Church? " I asked. She nodded, smiling at me gently.
Why..?
If we were friends, why...
Why was this stirring in my chest so... anxious, and making me breathless...?
