eventually, everyone got to mike's house.

dustin was still crashing y/n on his back, to which she soon fell asleep again, still feeling drained.

everyone noticed some of y/n's hair began to turn white, and no one had any idea on why.

they were going to ask her once they got inside.

mike's pov

i rushed up to the front door and quickly opened it, making way for dustin to bring y/n in without bumping into anything while doing so.

"MIKE?! IS THAT YOU?" i heard my mom yell.

"YES!!" i yelled back.

"WHO'S WITH YOU?!" she asked.

"MY FRIENDS!" i retorted.

"WE WILL BE IN THE BASEMENT!" i told my mom.

"OKAY!" she yelled, once again.

i nodded and gestured for everyone to go into the basement.

dustin gently set y/n down on the couch and covered her up with blankets since we saw her shivering.

'why is she shivering?' i thought to myself.

y/n then gasped and shot up from her position on the couch and began to hyperventilate.

"wha- wher- help- me- out- mike- dustin- jane-" y/n said in between shallow breaths while tears began to flow down her flushed cheeks.

"hey, hey, hey, we're right here. it's okay. you're okay. you're safe." i said, attempting to comfort her.

i put my hand up to her cheek and wiped her tears with my thumb, beginning to caress her cheek.

she just closed her eyes and began to whimper.

dustin then pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back gently.

"want to talk about it?" he quietly asked.

"you... gone... jane... gone... mike... gone... everyone... gone... me... alone..." y/n softly mumbled.

"it's okay, it was just a dream." i offered, trying to cheer her up.

"no." y/n said matter-of-factly.

"it was a memory?" dustin questioned.

y/n just shook her head 'no.'

"it was a vision, wasn't it y/n." jane said.

y/n nodded.

"holy shit... you can, you can see the future too?!" max exclaimed.

y/n shrugged.

jane rubbed her temples.

"how are you getting so many powers? no wonder you were to valuable to papa- er, i mean, the lab. you can inherit new abilities over time." jane said.

y/n nodded again.

"why is your hair white?" lucas asked.

"using powers." y/n said.

"i thought you just got drained and fainted...?" will asked.

"no. i have more side-effects of using powers since mine are... stronger?" y/n says, looking at jane for confirmation on the word 'stronger'.

jane nodded, as if telling her she was correct.

"oh. okay." everyone said, coming to a realization.

"we will need to dye it then!" max said excitedly.

"...d-dye?" y/n questioned.

max rolled her eyes playfully.

"jane, she is a lot like you. so innocent. just wait until family life young one, just you wait." she said.
