-LISA-
The light is blinding my eyes and it took me a moment to adjust before I could see the amount of people staring at us.
The room suddenly becomes quite when Ansel and I begin to walk towards the center of this humungous futuristic hall. Feeling the heavy weight of the calculating stares from the people surrounding us drives my stomach to stir in trepidation. The dark gown I am currently wearing is not even helping at all. They forced me to wear this extravagant gown but it didn't make me feel beautiful, none at all, instead it made me feel like a sacrificial lamb about to meet it's tragedy.
Among the stabbing stares as we walk towards the center platform is the familiar set of green eyes that has this magnetic pull ordering me to meet its gaze.
It doesn't take so long when my eyes meet his gaze. When our eyes lock, my heart immediately goes into somersault.
I snap out of my daze when my dad begins to speak.
"Lisa, my daughter after today we may not see each other for quite awhile so I want you to hear this, I love you and I'm sorry that I failed being a good father to you." Ansel speaks solemnly, taking his time as we walk slowly towards where Harry and Des are standing. I turn my eyes that are already brimming with tears towards my dad, listening to him fullheartedly.
"I'm sorry that you are forced into this but circumstances are playing with us." Ansel meets my tearful eyes and sadly smiles at me afterwards. He stops walking to wipe my tears away and hugs me.
"Be strong Lisa, for yourself and for my grandchild. The lives of many is in our hands and I trust you my dear daughter, in you our future lays." My dad whispers to my ear as he hugs me tightly. He pulls himself away, tapping my cheeks as he gives me an encouraging grin.
"Well, well look who's back and they said we'd never see him again." The viciousness coming from voice's owner echoes throughout the walls. My dad's face turns into a grim. He pulls his stare away from me to meet the malicious glare of Des Styles.
"Desmond glad to see me again?" Ansel cockily smirks at him.
"Glad is an understatement." Des replies, hatred is blatant in his eyes, with his face contorting tightly at the way Ansel spoke. After a moment of dominance battle, Des' sinister gaze falls for a second towards me and I shiver.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you again." Ansel utters sarcastically.
"The pleasure's all mine." Des smirks.
Everyone from the room can feel the thick dominating tension between the two men. Their eyes are throwing knives to each other in their battle of stares. I move my eyes to Harry and I suck a sharp breath by the intensity of his eyes on me. My heart thuds eratically but I force to get my composure back and coolheadedly meet his ravaging stare.
His undivided attention is all on me, not even caring of the war that is about to erupt in any second between Des and my dad. Eventually, I drop my eyes to the floor unable to stand the intense reaction he gives to me.
All the tension is depleted temporarily when Zero begins to speak.
"Is this why fate brought all of us together? To showcase our meanest glare to one another? I believe Des is winning, damn his glare is diabolical." Zero barks amusingly. Ansel narrows his gaze towards Zero.
"We're really off to a great start." Zero beams sarcastically.
"This isn't the time for your crap antics Zero." Ansel whispers to him furiously.
