Like every morning Bonnie drove me and Elena to school.
"I'm not saying don't date the guy, I'm just saying 'Take it slow'." Bonnie cautioned as the three of us got out of the car.
"You are the one who told me to go for it." Elena reminded her.
"Now I'm saying take it slow." Bonnie shrugged.
"Why the about-face?" I asked her, joining the conversation.
"It's not an about-face." She denied. "You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field." Bonnie said to 'Lena.
"Speaking of fields, I'm gonna go say hi to Matt." I told them. I walked over to where Matt was tossing a football back and forth with one of the other football players.
"Hey Matty, hey Tyler." I greeted them.
"Hey J." They said back to me.
"Look. There's Elena and her new boyfriend." Tyler teased Matt, looking over my shoulder at Elena and Stefan. "Oh, what are they doing? Oh- they're walking, walking, walking. Yep. Right into the sunset."
"Dick." Matt mumbled.
"While you just stand there looking like one of those little yard trolls." Ty taunted.
"They're called gnomes." I announced.
"What am I supposed to do Ty? She made her choice."
"Let her know she made the wrong one." Tyler said grabbing the football. He disregarded mine and Matt's protests and launched the ball at the back of Stefan's head.
At the last second, Stefan spun around and caught the ball. He held it up a bit before throwing it back to Tyler, only the throw was so strong, Tyler had to jump back a bit to soften the blow.
I giggled a little before the bell rang and I went inside.

"World war 2, ended in? Anyone got anything? Ms. Juan? 1945." Mr. Tanner droned. "Pearl Harbor? Ms. Gilbert?"
"Hmm?" Elena and I said at the same time.
"Pearl Harbor?" Tanner asked again.
"Um- December seventh, 1941." I answered.
"Thank you, but you are not the Gilbert I was talking to."
"Then you should have specified." I sassed at him.
"The fall of the Berlin wall?"
This time Stefan answered. "1989."
"Thank you for calling out, Mr. Salvatore." Mr. Tanner raised his voice slightly.
"Anytime."
"Very well." Tanner challenged. "Civil rights act?"
"1964. I'm good with dates sir." Stefan replied.
