Part Two: Face to face

Lee heard her footsteps echo as she descended down the steps, felt it reverberate in the wood. The others seem to have heard it too as the voices grew quiet. Lee swallowed as her eyes landed on the sea of new faces that were staring at her, but to neither one did she feel a connection which saddened her, she had thought it would be different, instant.

Nick took a step forth to the girl that hid behind Rosalee who was slightly lost in her own head. "Hi." He spoke, holding a friendly smile that reached his eyes. Rosalee took a tiny step away from Lee. "I'm Nick." He introduced himself.

Lee watched him closely. "The Grimm." She responded with a tone that didn't echo the apprehension she was currently feeling.

Nick glanced to Hank, an habit he seemed to pick up over the years. "Yes, the Grimm."

"They talk about you a lot."  She commented.

Nick's brows furrowed, suspicion being the first to settle. "Who?"

Lee shrugged. "People, wesen, all over."

"Okay, let's introduce you to some other people mhm" Rosalee spoke, resting her hand gently on Lee's shoulder. Nick and Lee both glanced at Rosalee, signalling their little conversation was over.

"This is Hank" Rosalee motioned to Hank and he smiled a toothy smile.

"Hey." Hank greeted.

"Hey." Lee echoed back to him with a shy smile.

"And this is Eve." Rosalee stopped in front of her, now wearing a white wig and seemingly glaring at Lee but that could've just been her face, Lee didn't know her, she couldn't judge. Eve didn't speak, only stood stoic in place.

"Hey." Lee spoke softly, a little intimidated by the glaring eyes that felt like she would burst into flames any second now, which was definitely a possibility with Eve.

Footsteps suddenly echoed from upstairs followed by a door being flung open. "Sorry guys, there was this.." Trubel trailed of as she almost ran into Lee. "Hi." Is all that Trubel could mutter.

"Hey" Lee's voice came out croaky and she furrowed her brows slightly. She couldn't describe it, almost getting lost in Trubel's eyes. She felt instantly bonded with her. Her heartbeat raced and she felt her hands lightly shaking.

"This is Trubel." Rosalee spoke, whipping both Trubel and Lee out of their reverie. Rosalee watched Lee closely, unsure if she should intervene any further.

Trubel cleared her throat. "Lee, right?" 

A smile tugged at Lee's lips at her name coming from Trubel's. "Yep. The one and only."

"Okay, cool." Trubel commented.
