4- Stalker

GUK'S POV

After the incident yesterday, instead of fearing that grim reaper, Clarice seemed to have fancied her more. The fact that Luna used her powers to let us go. But what was the power there?

"It's really true that she let go of some lost souls." She squaked. Literally fangirled over her.

"Hey! You should be thanking me!" I scoffed and stopped when people started looking at me. Great. I forgot, we're in the park playing. Just because of this kid that we're playing in the playground! She's even stealing the kids' toys.

"Come here!" I whispered and made our way to a bench near the edge of the ground where you could see the sea going up and down. We sat down at the bench near.

"You think I wouldn't know that you were scared shitless last night?" She raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms, looking directly into my eyes.

"Hey!" I whined. "How did you know?"

"It was your first time to encounter a grim reaper. Of  course you'd be scared just like you were with me!" She laughed and suddenly stopped. "But... How did you get to see her?"

"I don't know as well." I wondered in confusion. How did I even got to see her? "Maybe-"

"Stop!" Clarice whispered and suddenly stopped, making me stop as well.

"What's wrong?" I whispered and bent down a bit.

"A ghost is behind us."

Who?

"Don't look!" She panicked and stopped my head from turning

"I count to 3, then we run."

"Alright." I nodded eagerly.

"Wait. How could we run in this state? The sea is right-" I stopped midway and looked right beside me to see Clarice is gone.

That kid betrayed me again. She just teleported!

And why would I be scared of ghosts? I groaned and turned around to see a floating black smoke. Great. I just met another grim reaper, face to face. Should I avoid it? And pretend I've never seen it? But this smoke would know that I'm talking with a ghost, right? It would probably think that I couldn't see grim re-

"Hey kiddo." The shadow suddenly spoke. I was startled a bit there but locked my eyes to tree behind the smoke. Should I be scared or amaze? But that's amazing. Grim reapers usually don't talk to humans.

"I heard you can see Luna?"

Luna? Who?

"It's really amazing how you were able to see her." I  could hear him chuckle."But do you even remember your memories?"

Memories? What memories? Why do I keep repeating everything he says?

and then the black smoke disappeared.

"What was he talking about?"

"Who was it?" Clarice appeared suddenly. The traitor now appeared.

"Your traitor." I groaned, crossing my eyes and turned my back.

"Hey!" She whined. "I didn't mean to."

She seemed serious so I decided to turn around. But then she laughed so hard.

"Hey!" I glared at her.

"Alright. I'm sorry."

LUNA'S POV

I paced back and forth as I waited for Bum with anxiety flowing over my body. Well, can i even experience anxiety right now? I still have some feelings so maybe?

"Why are you biting your nails?" A chuckle came from behind.

I turned around to see Bum.

"Bum!"

"Hey!" He laughed.

"Wh-where did you come from?"

"I talked to your husband." He raised his eyebrows. "There he is."

He looked at behind me to see Guk and the little ghost.

"It seemed that your husband have a ghost girlfriend."

I looked down to avoid seeing then two together. And out of nowhere, I hid behind the tree.

"Why are you hiding?" He chuckled. "It's not like he's going to see you."

I forgot. Humans can't see ghost, especially grim reapers except for the one you're destined with. But only once in a lifetime can a person see ghost who can see grim reapers and their destined grim reapers. And we are one of the couples.

"He's my destinty, remember?"

"It might not be him."

"He saw me. He can see ghost this time as well. He can see grim reapers."

"So I was right that he can see you." 

"Well, isn't that obvious?" I spat. "come here!"

Bum went behind me while we were watching the two of them started standing up and roaming around this place,  maybe talking as well.

"What are they even doing?" he groaned. "Why are we even following them? This is stalking!"

"Do Grim Reapers even stalk?!"

"Right. We follow. We follow." he scoffed and gave up.

I stood straight up and glanced at them even more. But then someone patted me. 

"It seems like we have some ghost to follow, partner." he smirked, looking at pearl that shows the human who just died or some lost soul that is found. "Seems like a new one."

"You go. I'll catch up." I said as he left me. He knows that it's not my job to catch new souls even though it could be mine as well to chase up my rank even more. I could not even compare to the rank of Senior who is heartless. Whether a lost soul or a new one, he would definitely catch you.

I turned around to see that they've left the place and went riding into the bus. 

I wish I could be with you like that again. I've been with your reincarnations for how many hundred years yet I still can't manage to get close to you. Is it because you lost your memories? or is it because of the guilt inside me? I don't know. I'm confused.
