You realize it one day, when you catch a glimpse of yourself, in the mirror. Most of the time, what you see doesn't bother you. But this time, it sticks.
Whoever made you, be it God or any other higher being, must have run out of the parts you needed, because what you have, is just...not right. Your chest swells up when it should lay flat. Your hips flare, when they should be straight and narrow.
You try your hardest to ignore it. It works for a while. You get confident, start to flaunt, start to feel good. But nothing good lasts, and so you start to wilt. Your chest becomes a burden once more. You start to question your partner's truths, begin to distrust every "i love you for you" that is uttered between kisses. Their eyes tell a different story. They cannot hide the disappointment in their eyes when you are stripped to your bare skin. They want something else, and you know that.
It's time to cover the mirrors again.
