The woman was running. Running through the night. She was running as fast as she could. Her instincts kept telling her to fly but she couldn't . Her wings were bleeding more as she pressed them against her back. She had been shot in both wings. Whoever was chasin her wanted to make sure she wouldn't be able to escape. The woman kept running. She kept clutching a small ball to he chest as she ran. Her daughter, just only a few days old. Her daughter, the only thing important to her, kept sleeping. That was on thing the mother loved about her daughter. she could be quiet when she needed to be.
Still, she kept runing. She didn't want those evil people getting to her precious baby girl. That was the only thing keeping her going. She wanted her girl to be safe and loved. Even if the mother won't be able to raise her own child. She still wants the best for her
After hours of running the woman finally got out of the forest. She saw a church. Thank you god. The woman thought. God was her father. And to be able to find one of the houses of God made her feel so much better.
She went into the church. Luckily she could hide her wings to the point that humans could see them.
"Ma'am your hurt." The priest said walking up to the woman.
"No don't worry about me. Here take my daughter. I want her to be safe. Please find a good home." The woman said handing the baby to the preist.
"Ma'am what about you." The preist asked
"I don't need help. Just keep my baby safe." The woman said. She exited the church with a smile of relief on her face and tears runing down her face. She felt a whole lot better knowing her daughter is goin to be okay. She pulled out a sheet of paper and wrote a note. The note was adressed to her daughter. She then walked back into the church.
"Father. Please give this to her when she is 16. In the meantime hang on to this." The woman said
"But why?" The preist asked looking confused.
"I want her to know that I loved her. Please do as I ask and don't read it. It is only for her eyes only. Thank you." The woman said while waving good bye to the father.
Finally she left the church. She delivered the letter and now she can finally let go.
Her body felt weak. She started to fall. Just as she fell, the preist came running out, holding the baby.
The woman was on the ground.
"Good bye my baby, Lilac." The woman said. Her heart had stopped. And her wings showed.
The preist saw the wings and knew what she was. And now knew the baby's name, Lilac.
