The One That Got Away

Prologue

Her eyes found him while walking down from the stairs and she suddenly smile without letting others know.

He was talking with someone but he's eyes where drifted to the sight of a woman walking down from the stairs and an undefined emotion was visible to his eyes.

She smile and greeted a friend back in high school without noticing the eyes of someone still looking at her direction.

He was amazed of the smile formed at her lips that he can't stop staring at her.
It has been years since he last saw that smile, the smile which was always complete his days back then.

Her eyes were thrown back to his direction when her friend mentioned his name and pointed his direction.
She saw him talking with someone and holding a glass of wine.
He seems fine, she thought.

His eyes were immediately thrown back to her direction when his friend said, she's coming here.
He watched her as she walked to get where his standing and felt an emotion he don't know.

Finally, their are now standing right infront of each other without knowing what to say.

Hi it's been a long time, she finally said and smile.
She handed her right hand to him.

Yeah it really have been long and I'm glad to see you again, he said and accepted her hand.
He smile back to her.

Well it's nice to see you again Kyle, she said.

I'm glad youre here Via, he said back and let go of her hands.

How they both wished that if only that moment have last a bit longer for them both but it didn't.
