Hunger Games Fanfiction 'The Fight'

Elise's POV:

I sit up, my arm throbbing in pain. why me? why us? if they want to punish our parents, then make them do this, not us! I sit facing a glass wall, looking straight at Jacob. we stare st each other until the hovercraft stops and ladders dispense us underground. I am immediately taken to a small room where I am given a cupcake and a glass of orange squash. surprisingly enough I eat the cupcake, even after that unreasonably large breakfast. I start to wonder when we will be taken into the deadly arena and soon enough a woman's voice comes into the audio system. I look around though I don't see where the speaker is.

"please step into your thumbs, we will take you to the arena in 20,19,18,17......" I hesitantly step into the glass cylinder and it snaps shut behind me. I turn to face the back wall.

"5,4,3,2,1" I feel myself slowly rise. when I reach the top I am blinded by the blaring Sun. once my eyes adjust, the countdown is already down to 37. I notice that right in front of me is a large hill, and on top of it sits an elegant gold sculpture, full if vital properties we will need. they call it the cornucopia. once again the countdown is nearing its end. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I panic and start hyperventilating. I could be dead in a few seconds. so could my brother. wait, where is my brother? Jacob! I start frantically searching for Jacob, swirling my eyes around the large ring of tributes. the countdown is nearly finished. I don't know who or what to look for first. I get ready to run, as the countdown nears its end.

"3,2,1" BOOM!

Layna' s POV:

I Sprint towards the big hill and begin to climb. I climb until my legs are aching, my hands are shredded and my feet are sore. when I finally reach the top I heal an axe and a few knives. I shove the knives in a backpack I find and ready the axe. I cautiously step over to the edge and look around. there is a forest taking up 1/3 of the arena, desert land taking up 1/2 and the remaining space holds a great big lake. I turn around and spot Jacob with Tag and Elise. Finn comes up to me holding a spear and nods. we run down the steep Rocky slope and role at the bottom. Alyssa and Riegan quickly catch up and we all set off together into the thick forest.

so that was the first chapter guys. leave advice and ideas in the comments section. I know it wasn't that good and half of it was repeated from the last chapter of my previous book but it it supposed to be a reminder. I hope you enjoyed it anyways and it will improve I promise.
